Torcidas
Hey guys. I've finally fixed my PC's uber sound problem (A BIG thank you to Gareth Croke), and I've noticed that my PC game library is quite small, infact, only two games. (FSX, GTA:SA) I need to know what's good. And you guys seem to know always. So gimme a hand. I like FPS, RTS, Action/Adventure, Simulation..etc.. I'm not a big fan of sports or racing for PC, so leave those out if you can. I'm also buying the following: Civilization 4 Counter Strike: Source I don't have much money, but I have enough to buy 3, 4 games to last me a good year or so. Thanks guys. *gta star*
"Call of Duty 2", or "Battlefield 2/ 2142" (2142 is the newest). For simulation games, you might want to try some propellor war games, one of which is "IL-2 Sturmovic". Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2 are really good online aswell, try them out. TSFella
Hitman Blood Money Bought it when it came out for PC and I still play it to this day. Just one of those games you can replay 100 times. I went out on a limb a year ago or so and bought Oblivion for PC. It was great for a while. I was kinda hooked but haven't touched it in months. Both great games for PC. I'd suggest the new Splinter Cell but unless you have this Shader 3.0 crap, it won't even install. It's why I'm not bothering with it. Venom
UT! Dear boy, Unreal Tournament. Take your pick from the first Unreal or Unreal II : The Awakening.. Or gander your chances at the tournament, in it's Game Of The Year Edition, 2003, 2004 or.. highly antisipated 2007 form! ms.cooldude
Hitman Blood Money, bought it when it came out for PC and I still play it to this day. Just one of those games you can replay 100 times I agree totaly, "Hitman Blood Money" which I also got still lasts me, also I would recomend "SWAT 4", a very good first person shooter which I got free when buying my "Geforce Nvidea 7600GS" where you can take control of your SWAT team. I'd suggest the new Splinter Cell but unless you have this Shader 3.0 crap, it won't even install. It's why I'm not bothering with it. Talking about graphics, it would be helpful if you listed your graphics accelarator as a few new "OpenGL games" require more than you think like the new Splinter Cell: Double Agent which uses the "3.0 Shader" or higher but I don't want you to miss out! SmellyJelly
Since you like simulation games, try the Armed Assault demo. It does have it's faults, but I've read many times that the retail version is better. So far it's only out in Germany, Czech, and a few other places, but you can import it. You can also legally download it from certain sites too, if you don't mind not having a CD. Either way, you'll need to install an English mod. Or you could wait for 505 to release it to the UK and surrounding areas in February. That's what I'm going to do, and then import it to the US. So far we don't have any publisher, so it's unlikely Armed Assault will come out by then. GTAThomas
I also recommend Rainbow Six Vegas. That also requires SM 3.0 and it has performance problems. People say this thing lags on 8800GTX! Tornado Rex
If you like FPS and RTS I'd suggest looking into Natural Selection. It's a Half-Life mod that just plain f*cking owns. You can be the commander, and it's like an RTS except your people are actual people. Or you can be a solider and it's FPS with a commander. You can also be aliens. All of which have different abilities and roles. Just check it out. The awesome fun of it cannot be described in words. Deuce Deuce
What are your system specifications? Games like BF2 and HL2 are pretty high-end games. Anyway, I can vouch for BF2, HL2, CS-Source, CoD2- since I have them all and play them a lot. Really good fun. CoD2's signleplayer is awesome, not only that, its online play is awesome. Torcidas
lol. How about I tell you about a game. This is the only game you will need. It'll last way beyond a year. World of Warcraft. Forgot to mention I have WoW. Oh God....that game is deadly. As for PC Specs, I pretty much could handle it all; FSX On Best settings runs great on my PC. GritSandWiches4Breakfest
Try the other GTA games for the PC if you don't already got. Also, D2LOD is think is still good and theres still plenty on it to play online. (this game can kill about 4-5 years of your life if you started years ago) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/264972-pc-game-recommendations/#findComment-4022061 Share on other sites
