How Many Cars?

How many cars can i replace in Vice City with Vice City Mod Manager (VCMM)??

I don't really use vcmm, but as far as I know there probably shouldn't be a limit. If no one here has an answer you may be able to contact the progarm creator via the contact info in the ReadMe, although vcmm is no longer supported so I don't know if you'd have any luck there either. yeah but sometimes the game crashes

sometimes when I touch one car it flies -- desappears ..

Or won't even show up.

If you can help me post back or aim me: Gabxiel

The game crashes only if the mod isn't well made or if you install it uncorrectly.

What do you mean install uncorrectly???

I Need to have experience to install VCMM? Or I need to know how to install it ....

If so teach me how to install VCMM

If you have gotten one mod to work with VCMM then chances are that you know what you are doing so, in my opinion, it's either a flawed mod (as -/TNT\- suggested) or may be a problem with VCMM. As mentioned in my earlier post, I don't really use it. Partly because it caused my game to crash at times and also because I heard others with the same complaints. My only advice would be to try to find the same mod in non-vcmm format and try a manual install. Although manual install is more time consuming it gives you more control over your mods and (at least in my case) helps to better understand how the game functions. Later man. monocle.gif

what kind of car mod can i use then not VCMM?

and is easy.

Here is one that is about as simple as you can get. It replaces the 'stallion' with the 'diablo' from GTA3. The only tool that you will need for this mod is an image tool also known as IMG Tool.

I found this one at GTA Garage

>GTA3 Diablo<

** You should always make a backup of files before editing them **

First unzip the mod to a folder where it can be easily found. Using the image tool you will need to open the gta3.img file which is found in the Models folder. Once the file is opened you will see a list of names. These are all the .txd and .dff files in the game (the model and skins of objects in the game - cars, buildings, etc). Now go to 'edit' and choose find, type in 'stallion' and hit 'find next'. You should see two files named stallion. Right click on each of them and choose 'delete'. Now go to the 'commands' option and choose 'add' and specify the folder where the downloaded mod is stored. Add both of the provided files to the image tool, then under 'commands' choose 'rebuild archive' and if asked to confirm choose 'yes'. It will take a couple of minutes for the tool to finish rebuilding the archive but that's pretty much it.

There are also car mods that provide new data like handling(how car drives), carcols(car colors), col(collision file), engine sounds, etc. It may seem a bit difficult at first, but it gets easier with some practice. Another piece of advice would be to add only one mod at a time and test it after each new addition to make sure that there are no errors that cause the game to crash. It sucks to install several cars and then have the game crash as soon as you start it up. Good luck man.
