He's pretty diff'rent in the original VC because he was not meant to be a big part of the game. As I said earlier, he's almost(or he IS) a Lance skin edited(the face, at least)...That was because he was no big deal, until they decised to make him the main character of VCS, just like Toni Cipriani in GTAIII/LCS... PS.: Remember the Leon McCaffrey appearance in GTA 3 and his looks as a storyline character in LCS? No way it could be the same character, but the reason is because he was just a random guy in GTA 3(There's a topic about it in the LCS board, it's some months old, but it's there, I remember it). How can Vic put up an cuban accent and that too in 2 years? It is totally against his persona' in VCS, also, he said he only wanted to go underground because he needed money to fund Pete's medical bills. And like the other poster said, Vic said 'No More Drugs' right at the end of Vice City, why would Rockstar want to include this line at the end of the game and get an accent-less Vic in VCS when they could easily supported the cuban accent instead? Looks to me as if Lance went to Pete to continue making more money and control of Vice City, and looks to me Vic still doesn't know Lance and Pete have died. Again, Lance said nothing in Vice City about Lance, and it'll be great to see Rockstar's statement if any on one of the official GTA sites... params7 Posted February 17, 2007 Share Posted February 17, 2007 Well to dig out more info, I went to Vice City's official site, on the billboard there is info pretty much about every famous personality in the Underworld business in Vice City. It does say there in Vic's card that Vance Crime Family consisted of only two members, and on Lance's card it says he 'came with his brother' to Vice City. I don't want to either. But..the billboard in the official Vice City Site...it says Vice Crime Family consists of only 2 members, and then the only two stated Vance's are Vic and Lance. And by the way, even Wikipedia editors say it was Pete : READ Guess it'll be the biggest question. I keep wondering why, not a single time, Rockstar never say the name - Never. Be it the official site or be it Vice City (i know they didn't have plans, but do you know for sure? Maybe they already planned VCS on the Ps2, but the PSP came along and they ported to it first?). I need confirmation from Rockstar. It can't be a ret-con or anything else untilRockstar say the damn name. Everytime I think about Vic being the person in VC, I remember the line he says to Ricardo Diaz. "Yeah, whatever, you want drugs, I want out" All those who've played the game know, that is NOT the only time Vic says something like that. He's said that to Martinez, he's said it to Lance and that too at the end of the game. You figure that out and tell me how on earth this trained military puts on tons of weight, grows hair, and changes his ****ing accent (and its even more insance when you think about the accent he changes to....DAMN!) and after 2 years of experience gets himself killed in a freakin' shootout. Why after owning Vice City, he's not coming with one of his goone or sending Lance with the briefcase instead, Vic is too smart to get killed like that. I change my opinion again, dirty old Lance got the sick asthamatic Pete to do his dirty work and even sends his little brother out in the battlefield with the brieface while he sits in the chopper, because he knows Vic would never come back to Vice City Underground business after the final lines he said to Lance in 'Stories. Its definitely not Vic Vance in Vice City and I'm now 100% confirmed and I've got the proof. *SPOILERS* These lines closely depict the exact words said by Vic to Lance right after you kill Deigo Mendez and Martinez, the useless stuff has been left out : *Vic kills Diego and Martinez* *Lance arrives in a chopper, the two brothers hug* Vic : Listen, now that you own nothing to Diaz, I suggest we head out of town or law low for a while. Lance : Yeah, ofcourse. Vic : I'm going to send money to Pete. Lance : Hey, I'm sitting on 20 kilos (of drugs probably), we gonna sell it later? Vic : NO! Get rid of it. Lance : Hey we could sell it and move along! Vic : NO! NO! NO! (yes, 3 times) We are not doing any more of this stuff! --------------- What do you think this tells? Lance obviously didn't take Vic's suggestion. The opening drug deal in Vice City - That's those 20 kilos of drugs Lance says he's sitting on and wants to sell, Vic is heavily against this. First, the line he says to Ricardo that he wants out of the drug business, then the last time he talks to Ricardo Diaz he says that : "I've been a moron running around making fools rich while my family fell apart, the women I loved died waiting for my call" So no. That's all the proof you can get, and I think all you people see the last scene in VCS before thinking again that it was Vic who died. Then think of the lines he said to Diaz and Lance, then think of the crazy accent and weight this guy puts on, then think Lance was always the guy that ran around Vice City doing drug deals without Lance's permission and *BANG!!*, that's the opening cutscene of Vice City for you. Anyways I found a video of the ending for those who want to confirm the lines said by Vic for themselves. Vic talks about staying low, Lance talks about the drug deal he makes with Sonny Forelli in the opening FMV of Vice City : Let the video load completely, then simply head on to the 7:34 time of the video for the ending cutscene.
