Time for me to give out a lecture, here. What I hate (strong word, but that's what's needed) is when teenagers/children below the age of sixteen continue to believe and tell others that they love their partners, when, in reality they don't know what love is yet. Think about it. When you were at school, there was always a few people who had short relationships and made themselves and others believe they loved each-other after a short period of time, such as a few days, and then broke up after a week or two. That isn't love, and teen's need to learn that. Sure, when you've been with your partner for a month then yes, I'll give the couple the benefit of the doubt and I won't disagree with them saying they "love" each-other. It's just plain stupid.

Sure, some people could call me a hypocrite because I'm only 17 myself, but the fact is I was never like this when I was in high-school. I never claimed to love a girl after a few days/one or two weeks. I waited until I knew it would last before claiming to love a girl. I'm sure a few of you will agree with me, and then a few of you will disagree with me on the matter. But the reason I'm giving out this slight lecture is because I hear about so many stories of teenagers self-harming and what not nowadays due to "young love". They don't even know what love is, yet use it as an excuse to feel "depressed" and self-harm? That's not what being a young person is all about. They're supposed to be "young adults", and they act like kindergarten students.

So yeah, if you're one of these people, just think about it next time you get into a relationship. I know that it's something you feel you "have to say" to your partner, but that's not true. Just because you're in a relationship with a person doesn't mean you have to love them straight away. Sure, if you've known each-other for a long time, and have actually felt what love is inside both your heart and your soul, then you can ignore this whole lecture, but if you've just met someone and claim to love them. I can't say I'd back your corner and allow myself to think you're telling the truth, because it's hard to believe in the end.

I could write more and more, but I won't bore you with my lectures. I've written enough to describe what "grinds my gears". So, yeah. Just take what I've written on-board, and think next time you meet a girl. "Is this love, or do I just like her?". There's a big difference, trust me.

Depends if it stretches the page. What pisses me off more is the fact people will post pictures in topics and will say ''sorry I know they stretch the page'' but wont actually make them smaller. I've got a f*cking 22" screen and sh*t still gets a page stretch because of those people. It takes an extra 2 minutes to save it, open it up in paint make it smaller and save again to upload.

Or, if you're hosting on imgur, there's a little trick where you don't even have to go into their little editor thing. When you've got the url for a picture, if you add a lowercase 'l', 'm' or 's' to the file name (but before the .jpg/.png/.etc) you get a browser friendly version of it instead.

For example, take this image (obviously a page stretcher, so linked), it has the direct url of:

http://i.imgur.com/JPaIA.jpg

If you add an 'l' to that you get this:

http://i.imgur.com/JPaIAl.jpg

If you add an 'm' to it you get this:

And an 's' will give you this:

Admittedly, it does have some trouble with images that have a large aspect ratio either way, but it's great if you want to use a small version as a thumbnail to link to the original.

very good tip there robinski.

Just trying to alleviate some of the grumpiness.

Also, before anyone gets antsy because they can't quite place who that one guy/girl is, here's a labelled version.

Just select 'message boards & forums' and you don't have to do anything but Click to get the right size.

I hate imageshack. Imgur is what I use, but still with all these options you'd think people would spend the extra 2 seconds selecting the correct size, especially since page stretching isn't allowed.

I hate all of these new 2011 members. You can tell one without even looking at the join date. Underage kids is what they are.

No.

Because we stumbled upon this site later on than you did doesn't mean we're all complete idiots.

Your join date is october 2011, so I don't know what you're ranting about, anyways.

Self-hating noob?

I have to admit, that was a troll post. Just wanted to see people calling me out for MY join date. Even though I had an account made much earlier. Anyway, I'm not saying all new members are bad posters, but seriously, a lot of them are. You're lying to yourself if you think otherwise.

I really hate this cold I have, it's not shifting at all. I keep on coughing all of the time and my judgement is really beginning to cloud, so my apologies if I snap at anyone here. sad.gif

But I think I know why have this stinking cold, well this one's different to the ones I've had in the past. If this was a normal cold for me I'd be getting over it now, the tar would have shifted, but not this time. I think it is down to three factors:

- I'm a Diabetic, I heard that your Immune System gets shot so when you fall ill it takes longer to get over it.

- I am 5 years overdew for a new Tetanus jab.

- I have not yet been given a flu jab (the government has been making a very big deal over flu jabs, mostly among pregnant women, the elderly and people wih certain health conditions).

I've had a cold since like last Saturday. I've never had a cold this long.

Anyway, things that make me angry.

I was at McDonald's with my friend and we went through the drive-through but ordered separately. So we got to the window to pick up our food and the lady hands us 1 order and then slams the window, so we just sit there. Then she comes back and says "Wut'chu want?". Does customer service not exist anymore? confused.gif

The close mindedness of this state.

I live in Utah. I was raised in a non-mormon household, and I don't practice religion at all. Neither me nor my wife care about religion, its not our thing. I don't have a single problem with the Mormon church its self just the members and this is why:

Socially our family has been practically shunned since we're not LDS(what mormons are actually called...kinda). I've even had someone ask me how my son is going to be raised right without the church in his life. Who the f*ck do they think they are telling me how to raise my child. Every Sunday comes around and while i'm out doing something like mowing my lawn or working on my car I get dirty looks since i'm not going to church. I always see things like: "I won't ever be with someone outside of the church because they're not good people". that is a bit exaggerated, but not much. Now I've heard about this happening else where. But I can't convey just how bad it is here.

Thank god I'm moving in about a month.

I've heard Utah was pretty bad, where if you don't go to church and are a Mormon you pretty much are an outcast. I just love when they try telling people how to raise their kids, live their lives, etc. not just Mormons but anyone at that rate.

There's this one girl I was talking to in my class, she runs cross country and was talking about this one kid who is home schooled for some relies reason, and he told her she was going to hell for reading the wrong version of the bible. The whole class, and history teacher (who's a cool guy to, and it was a class of 7 people) basically all went WTF. Some people just take religion to far. (And I have friends of just about every relgion out there, none of them take it to far but some people...)

@Guns N R0se I'd be pissed if that happened to me, it pisses me off how disrespectful some people are at various businesses these days, customers even. My mother works as a cashier at the local grocery store, and comes home everyday with a story or two about customers being rude these days. Politeness seems to be almost non-existent these days.

Wow, that sound f*cked up.

The opposite in Iran: If you go to the mosque, or if you wear islamic clothing, you get bad looks and everyone hates you. Although the majority of Iranians are Muslims, but most of them dislike the religion.

Utah is pretty f*cked up in that case. I've been through about 4 times and all I would see are half finished housing areas with people living in them in the middle of nowhere and sh*t. My friend from Phoenix, AZ said that they have some real hardcore Mormons in the area. They literally walk around at people in disgust and ask them why do they follow such a devilish lifestyle and what not. Really in you're face about the fact you aren't a Mormon.

I would burn the bible infront of them. f*cking religious nuts.

Agreed. There is believing in something and there is making other people believe it. These people are crazy. I never liked mormons, have any of you guys seen their church in LA? In willshire I think. f*cking huge.

I never liked mormons,

I live with one. I've been to their church (in Bristol) and it's huge compared to the church I go to. Hell I've even seen there "offices" in the back of the church. And the one thing I found very unsettling is that fact that all of the men wear suits and ties, even the children. confused.gif

It looked just like a school at the back, rooms upon rooms with the same layout: a few stacked chairs and a curtain on both sides of the room leading into the next rooms.

Plus I think one "elder" tried to convert me. He aproached me after the service (the reason I was there in the first place is because I was attending the blessing of my two nephews, my brother's wife is a Mormon) and said "We can always do with new young members here." notify.gif I think I'll stick with my own faith thank you.

To me it was less of a religion and more of an "organisation".

My apologies if there are any Mormon members here that might take offence from what I said.

This may sound slightly hypocritical to my own age group, but, I'm not someone who likes the fact that what I'm about to include in this post is going on, therefore it's not hypocrisy.

What I hate is how girls and boys from young ages, usually beginning at 11 or 12 years of age want to be into relationships more as elders are. I mean, they want to get into a relationship so they can "get off" with their partner, and so that they can show off that they've done something that an elder would be expected to do. When I was 11-12, in my relationships I didn't even snog a girl, I rarely pecked them. It was more about holding hands and all that old time stuff. But now, the younger generation seem to want to lose their virginity at an early stage... It's disgusting.

To be honest, there's been pressure to lose the v-card against pretty much all generations. It's not like kids are hitting puberty earlier these days, either.

This picks me out too. Little girls trying to be ladies, or pretending to be grown up. It is the generation. 6 years old boys are watching porn and showing to their classmates, just to show that they passed through the "If you are less than 18 years old, don't click" sign, thinking they are the badasses.

With only 6-7 years old... bored.gif

This must have something to do with their parents's creation, making them freebies into this dangerous world.

It's not like they're going to be aroused by it.

At that age the time between them sucking on their mothers' tits is shorter than the time until they suck on their first girlfriends.

I had to go away during a football match with some of my cousins friends (My cousins were like 9-10 back then) because they were taking off their pants for f*ck knows what reason and I didn't want to be arrested for being a pedophile nor waste my time with kids doing nothing but running around pantless talking about dildos and what not.

That is really interesting.

In the West we get a very, very exaggerated picture of what Iran is like. Apparently the public doesn't really think much of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but he remains in the public eye just on the back of the attention he gets from Western media.
