YouTube does get money from ads, I mean, it's more used than TV these days. Getting your ad on YouTube is something millions of companies are trying to do. There's got to be a hefty price tag.

 

I hate when people complain about censored songs on YT, like VEVO. It's not cause they are evil and don't want you to hear the full song it's because of record companies not wanting entire albums to be put online for free. YouTube was created for videos to be shared, but the popularity over the years, specifiacally the last 3 years, has led to it providing almost everything from Live Streams, to Music Videos, to - suprise suprise, advertisements. Just be glad you can even listen to music, and be glad that it's free - it doesn't have to be you know.
