SO. Two Thursdays ago, my mother did her surgery. Before that (exactly another week), we agreed with the doctor that he will remove whatever thing that was in her neck. She did the operation 'n' all, but the f*cktard didn't remove it - just a tiny piece that he gave to my father afterwards for testing. Idiot didn't even tell us where to go; luckily my father knew an advanced Lab so he went there at the speed of lightning (we were in a different city). Fast-Forward to the past Thursday. We had an appointment, but apparently we were late as the Dr. went to do his surgeries so we have no way of seeing him now. So we see another Dr. (he's the one who sent us the prev. one), and was confused at the "results" of the sample testing. The Lab didn't say a single damn thing because they didn't have the necessary equipment to do the required testing to see whether the thing's cancerous or not. So we were sent to a Lab that actually have the required sh*t for the proper test.

 

Fast-Forward to this morning. We went to the main Tripoli Hospital, the usual routine once every 6 months. I wasn't w/ my mom as I was waiting for her down below. When the Dr. checked her, he was confused about how the surgeon didn't remove the thing from ma's neck; not only that but he also took the sample from the "wrong cluster". There's three of them there, but he took the sh*t from the one down below instead of the one up. Meaning that the sample was near-useless anyway. Which also means that ma would need to go through ANOTHER surgery to get a proper sample of the sh*t in her neck. Y'know. Stuff that should've been done 2 weeks ago.

 

 

God I hate this country.

It's "the noughties" for the 00's and for this decade, I suppose "the 10's?"  It's going to sound normal after 2020 because then it's just "the 20's" and "the 30's" and so on.

Collecting is something to be healthy and not toxic.

99.9% of those collectors either have some mental problem and can't possibly have their collection incomplete, or just expect their collection to be worth millions some day (fun fact: it won't).

Hey!  I'm a grumpy old toy collector.  Mattel inc even wanted to sue me once.

 

IMO you should never collect in hope of money.  That goes beyond toys even. 

 

Collect for the love of what you are collecting.  That is what collecting is all about.  As you are making your way through life buying stuff occassionally you buy something that all of the sudden sparks "I may want to hold onto this" in your head.

 

Thanks to my Mattel history I have a small HotWheels collection...not by choice.  As their lawyers were filing papers other people were sending me HotWheels.  It was a weird time.

 

Anyway I learned a little bit about HotWheels and picked this up at my grocery store this past weekend for $1.99.

 

It sells at amazon for nearly $7.  But that's not the story...I bought it because it is a real car.  In the world of hotwheels real cars tend to increase.  Also...the grocery store is a great place to look for hotwheels.  Keep your eye out for product branded hotwheels.  A few years ago I picked up a Wheaties truck for like 2 bucks and turned it over for 30 bucks.

 

 

 

The trick with collection is to not get fanatical.

I was pointing a case here in my country with two collectors fighting with a Japanese figure value in 9K but the seller would accept only 4K + promotion and after 3 days the buyer is saying is not original and return it to the seller who is saying is the real thing and keeping part of the money because the seller was not a real man to accept an agreement with the deal.

 

Also, accepting a low offer was strange because he tried to sell it on eBay and other sites many times.

 

The buyer is a big youtuber toy collector.
