meta- you have summed up why I nearly always refuse to eat "fast food". I even avoid most coffee-and-food-type places, unless I absolutely have to. Firstly, the staff are impossible to reason with. Not just difficult, but impossible. It's like trying to explain quantum physics to a goat- they just stare at you blankly and then repeat the last thing they said.

99% of the time its the customer that is unreasonable/brain derp.

Please tell me you don't work in customer service. Sure, some customers my have a bit of attitude, but it is usually pretty easy to squelch. I spent 9yrs working retail in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the US. I know all to well how some customers can be.

 

At the risk of repeating myself - I haven't eaten fast food* since '82. It is pretty easy to give up, especially if you want clear skin, and normal poop.

 

*commercial fast food. I live in the land of food trucks and it only takes like 3 minutes for a cheesesteak - that is pretty fast. Not to mention you are usually on a first name bases with the person making and serving your food.

Anyways, you know what grinds my gears? Aside from the f*ck that posted above me (not voodoo), its that its so f*cking difficult to start char coals on a grill without a decent butane torch. I want to cook my f*cking steaks and I have to spend an hour getting my coals to catch fire.

oh and in the Mcdonald's near my work, there are quite a few nice cashiers, easier to hunt my prey there than it is to stalk hair salons in the hope to find a cute college girl.

I can't think of many things more off-putting than being in the middle of "the act" and getting a faint whiff of Big Mac and Fries. Seriously, a girl that smelled like a deep-fat fryer would be a huge turn-off.

That's really subjective. I would just eat her right there.

I hate the fact that one rotten tooth in my mouth is causing me to wander around like a zombie because I'm in constant f*cking agony. It's horrible. And now I hear that even one bad tooth can kill you. Blood poisoning or something. Someone told me that my jaw could fall off, I hate teeth, teeth are the bane of my existence. I have recurring nightmares of them falling out and now one of the bloody things is rotten but refusing to budge. So, now I must see a dentist and pay through the nose just to releive my suffering. I know dentists work hard, they perform a necessary function and I respect that. But I really, really wish we could just regrow our teeth however many times we damn well please. Two sets of teeth is an evolutionary mistake! What kind of animal can only grow its teeth twice?

I work in a busy part of the city. Outside on the side walks, people are always shooting around here and there like crazed ants or something. I'm one of them. We are all in need to maximize our time and do all the little things needed to be done in order to get home to our dinner and relax for the evening.

 

So...if you happen to be in a city on a weekday just to casually walk around or whatever, DON'T f*ckING TAKE UP THE WHOLE f*ckING SIDEWALK!. Sure it is fine to walk in a little pack, just don't form a perpendicular line to the flow of pedestrian traffic. Oh Oh Oh, and the next pack of f*ckwads who think it is ok to just STOP in the middle of the sidewalk....ARGH!!!!!

I have this problem in corridors at the University. I'll be walking one direction and this group will be walking towards me and they spread out the entire length of the corridor so that you can't get by them without shoving someone out of the way. Then when I'm trying to get through them, they give me a dirty look like I'm the one in the wrong.

Agreed with f*cktards and their walking habits. If I'm in a bad mood I've resorted into shoving people who stop out the way, or deliberately clipping their shopping or whatever they're holding (providing it's not too expensive that is). Hopefully it'll knock some common sense into them. You don't do it in traffic (I hope not anyway) so don't do it on a busy pavement damn it. Then again, I seem to walk faster than most which probably makes me look like a bit of a dick when I do it. I employ the same tactic in supermarkets too. If your trolley is in the middle of the aisle and you're nowhere near, I'm moving it to where I see fit. Even if that means you're gonna spend the next 10 minutes finding it.

Another one is from work. When I'm wheeling a pallet truck in public, it's generally a good idea to keep away from it. They tend to hurt if they run you over. However, it seems the general population round here are f*cking magnetised to them. More often than not someone manages to trip up over this massive thing despite me giving them the entire shopping centre to walk in as I scoot about an inch from the wall. It's also f*cking loud, especially when it's on the ramps (as they've a special grip costing). They're also a pain to stop when on said ramps. When you walk right in front of the damn thing and then watch me as I end up sliding with both feet to slow the thing down before it careens into your cankles, I'm strangely not a fan of smalltalk about what items I'm wheeling around. They're heavy and will probably put you in hospital if you don't get out the way in the next 2 seconds. I can see why they block off parts of DIY stores now when they're operating forklifts instead of applying a common sense policy.

Lately I've been working five and six nights a week. My shifts are 12 hours long and totally sap me of any enthusiasm whenever I get home. I tend to pootle around on the internet for a few hours before going to sleep, waking up and repeating the process. However, that isn't the stem of my white whine because it pays my way, it's a living and I do actually like my job.

 

You see, I like to relax when I do get a night off. I went to my nearby booze outlet and got myself a few cans of Coors Light and a couple of bottles of Desparados. Off I trot back home, carrier bag full of deliciousness only to find my fridge is full of salad and fruit. Now, I live with my dad, his girlfriend and my brother. It's a nice set-up, it works for us and the rent I pay is reasonable. However, trying to squeeze four cans of beer and two bottles in there is like trying to get a wardrobe up a fire escape. I'm not so much bothered by the fact they have stuff in there, but am I hell leaving my beer on the side to get warm. It's just the way it's cast in there like I've just emptied a box of lettuce into the back of someone's car and then taken it on a 70mph tour of Europe, scattering produce all over the place. So, the balancing act begins - it's like Tetris. By this point I've already grown impatient and opened a can already so I can at least drink at the same time. I ended up balancing my bottles on a tub of coleslaw.

 

Seems really petty, but this is my only night off this week. I just want cold beer.

I don't even know what I'm mad at, but I just am. I got my first job a month or two ago. I work for a bar making fliers- I just design them then they put them on Facebook and social media and all that crap. So the other day I found out, and not even directly through my boss, that they are hiring somebody else to run the entertainment part of the bar and I will be "laid off". I was supposed to get a paycheck two weeks ago and I have yet to receive it.

texting has pretty much ruined socialising; been talking to someone and their relationship has been based around text messaging, they met this boy through a friend, so gethis number and started texting, they met up, after a few weeks he asked her out-by text-now there's nothing wrong with that but you start to wonder where the convenience of a quick "where are you?" or "can you come and pick me up, I'm smashed outta my face?" text starts to replace a decent conversation, I'd rather a phonecall over a text message, at least there is some personality behind the works....a bit ironic that I'm complaining under the guise on an internet forum xD
