Damn, for real? lol f*ck this makes me wanna quit my job too but I'm terrified of just sitting at home doing nothing while searching for new jobs.

 

I called in six times last month alone cause of college related reasons and just other real life stuff. Manager called me in and gave me a warning and I told her why I've been doing it.

 

She low key hinted I should just quit while I'm at it since it's been on my mind lately too and the shifts are just becoming too much to handle.

I won't stop looking for work, I can get financial support from the government while I look for a new job. I'm not ashamed tbh, that's what they're there for.

I'd argue that you're better off looking for a new job while still keeping your scheduled shifts. Especially if you're school year is ending soon and you have the opportunity for full time hours during the summer.

But work-life balance is important, and sometimes you do have to take the leap to land somewhere better.

Either way, good luck to anyone out there who's not happy with what they're doing.

Yeah, funny thing is even my family is telling me to quit unless they give me a position inside like cash or something. The managers not doing that anymore cause of how unreliable I've been lately lol.

 

Idk what's keeping me from quitting tbh, it's not really the financials (~$1.5k in my bank account atm) it's mostly that it'll f*ck with my life routine and I won't have sh*t to do on weekends but sit on my ass and play GTA.

 

My parents already pay all the bills and only ask me for a contribution sometimes so financial support is taken care of. Idk, I mean this job has its perks but its downfalls are really insane. Idk.

You're fortunate to have that safety net, and you may be more inclined towards actively seeking something new if you do decide to resign. It never hurts to inquire when better paying jobs become available though - You don't generally get what you don't ask for.

Have you been applying to organizations that fall within your field of study? Even if you can get in for a lower level position, it'd be great to have your foot in the door for when something that really appeals to you becomes available.

That's also one of the reasons keeping me from quitting, I don't have the energy at all to look for something new and engage in the whole hiring process all over again. I hate that more than my job itself if we're being honest. I'm gonna have to do that eventually though I know, I can't be doing this job forever.

 

I think I just need a long break from life. Both College and work have been doing my head in for the last year and a half.

@Rafs - It's like anything, new challenges are usually stressful, but once you get your CV set up and a couple applications under our belt, it'll be automatic, and you'll just continue to get better with the interview process and such. Maybe even check out some job fairs. Good luck bro!

Wtf happened to EuroNews Arabic? The channel had three Audio Tracks - Arabic (default), English and French. Now the English 'dub' is on two "Tracks" with the Arabic one is gone. Not that it bothers me, but c'mon, there are many words that I don't even recognize in English. Half the world's countries have weird English names that I don't know. It took me forever to know the English name of the Netherlands. Go figure.

Old headphones, just like the rest of Moroccan sh*t, has stopped functioning properly. Whenever I use them some annoying "hissssss" thing start playing in the left ear. Typical when a cable is malfunctioning. Got so pissed I ripped that earbud so hard it doesn't even work anymore.

Fluctuating weight is a part of life sadly :-/ I'm f*cking covered in lightning tats up my legs, I prefer calling them that than stretch marks

 

I've got like 1 good friend, nowt major, I barely see him in fairness, everyone else I just hang about with, usually friends are like shoes, replaced constantly so don't get too hung up on that.

 

Not having a job, join the club, I'm self employed but I now can't work cause of my foot, plus business is kinda slow anyways so it aint helping. Whats for you won't go by you Cez!

 

Dreams are worrying things, I was nearly 10 years before I took a leap of faith and tried my dream,I aint a zillionaire but I never expected that anyways.

 

Skin I can't comment on I've been blessed with a decent covering.
