f*cking drive-thru oil change places.

Those places have some of the most comically undertrained employees.

 

See...now you have to listen to an old story from me. HA.

it was the only time I used a JiffyLube(mid/later 80's). I was in the waiting area and this lady came in all visibly upset and all screechy voice like yelled and told us all to leave..."these people drained my oil and never refilled it"...blah blah blah...rage rage rege. The few of us just sat their thinking 'nutbag'.

 

Anyway got in my car and as I was driving down the highway my car dropped in power by like 50% and was blowing major oil smoke out of the exhaust.

 

Turns out they never drained my old oil and just added another 4 quarts on top. Talk about over fill.

Spilt water on my Blackwidow.. Not sure how long it was sitting but unplugged, took it apart and dried it out. Sitting on a towel right now. Going to have to take keys off and q-tip the guts.

As long as you dry it out properly (talking like a few days or a week of drying) you'll probably be fine though so there's that. Edited November 26, 2016 by Andreaz1

Yeah, hope so. I got majority of water or any wet spots I could see. Pressed keys down and shook it all about getting any water in the key press out. Probably not a good idea but due to my sisters kids not leaving my sh*t alone, I put it back together and put it away. They'll probably find it though..

Yeah, I do this all the time, I have two keyboards because I'm so clumsy, I just switch between them when I spill something, I've switched at least five times in the past year.

It's probably worth getting into the habit of placing drinks or whatever liquids you're spilling a little better, instead of rotating keyboards

Sometimes it's not even drinks, last time I did it it was pot noodle, they're just sh*tty keyboards I bought for like a tenner, I'll be getting a proper one soon, and then actually putting drinks further away from all my sh*t.

I spilled cornflakes on my laptop once and it was fine.

What scares me is, the board was bubbled. I got some isopropyl alcohol though that I have for...other things. Just wiped it all over the board, not a lot of it, obviously. Gonna leave it for a few days though. Hope it works still. f*ckin' $150 paperweight if it doesn't.

lol. I lost count of how many times I ended up spilling something on my laptop's keyboard and it still works fine. Keys may have been beaten to near death from being, y'know, used, but still.

 

 

Oh, and don't mind the broken Del and F12 keys. Raging at how stupid my laptop is at detecting the Internet connection I ended up "accidentally" plocking off the mentioned keys. ufffff

I get out and tell her that i was about to park there. She gives me an attitude and says "i didnt see that you wanted to park there" while walking away.
