For out and about listening I have a pair of Klipsch on-ear headphones and a pair of Marshall Minor in-earphones. The latter of the two are great but this is the fourth pair I've had in three years. Luckily I have them covered by warranty because they're £40 a pop and that soon adds up when you're replacing something every nine months. I don't know if it's just me but it's always one channel that goes or the cord itself snaps.

 

Add that to my gripe list - cheap and sh*tty headphones that look flashy but leave you with a listening experience matched only by a paper cup and a piece of string.

I put my K323xsi pair through the washing machine and they still work perfectly. Not bad for £20.

In my experience, any headphones that cost less than £50 ($70) are unreliable and are prone to breaking. My pair of Bose AE2i headphones cost £110 and my Sennheiser HD 239 were £100, came to the conclusion I needed to actually save for a decent pair after going through so many cheap pairs. It's false economy - you think you're saving money by buying cheaper pairs but it's so worth sitting and saving for something robust and on the pricier end of the scale. I understand not everybody is in the position to throw 100 notes at a pair of headphones but it's so worth it if you get the opportunity.

Definitely save up for good headphones. Its not worth buying the cheap kind. I used to go through pairs upon pairs of sh*tty earbuds (even though I was not rough with them). I did say f*ck those and bought (Apple) Beats Headphones a few years ago. They obviously broke within less than a year despite my brother owning (non-Apple) Beats that he has had for 3 years before mine with no problem.

 

I got a nice pair of Bose headphones with the warranty on those sh*tty (Apple) Beats and a few extra dollars for the difference. They haven't broke on me yet

 

 

I'd apply the same for videogame headseats. Buy one $80 dollar "I look like I have no life" pair and be done with it or spend $20 for the crap mic that breaks within a month or two (three if you're lucky)

I know I've bitched and moaned about walking before but I think I just need to vent.

 

What is it about people who see you coming, you clearly try to move out of your way and yet they continue to walk into your path especially if you're going with the traffic and they're walking against it. It's so damn irritating and even embarrassing to mind your own business and you need to get somewhere only to be bumped into by some dumb bimbo who doesn't know how to pay attention. The hallways are crowded as is. I already have to deal with folks cutting me off - I can't believe that's even a thing - and people walking real slow. I don't hesitate to turn around and look at them now. It's infuriating. You'd think it would be text walkers who do it but it isn't.

The acting made me cringe, I couldn't find one thing I liked about the films or the books. I went out of my way to read and watch all of them and just had no interest, I even despise that Dobby creature, he truly disgusted me.

 

There has to be other people that don't care for the series..

People have always told me 'yeah but they're better than LOTR', they're not similar in any way but even if they were, LOTR cannot be touched. LOTR is and always will be above the rest.

I still can't understand him - he throws his hard-earned cash on stupid (and sometimes downright expensive) sh*t, yet when I decide to buy something "expensive"-ish with my hard-earned cash, he complain. He threw $700 LYD in the trash can, by buying me a PS3 (which wasn't even in my mind), yet he nearly cried over me buying a freaking $30 Bluetooth headset. He's an idiot, I'm telling you.

I use to agree with this statement when i was younger, but when i hit 30 i rewatched the HPs and found a love for them. they are kids movies so really cant expect the acting to be top notch

so at what point did skateboarding and brands associated with it become a fashion trend because that sh*t pisses me off to no extent. when i started skating (like 08 maybe) it was such an outcast thing and you'd get a fair amount of taunting/borderline bullying (tldr had bricks thrown at us once) and im sure its the same for those who had emo/punk/etc phases (generally the outcast kinda stuff) while growing up. personally i didnt really care but it still kinda sucked having people dislike you based on the fact you ride a skateboard; skip forward to now and a sh*t ton of skateboard brands are now considered cool by the same people who'd have made fun of you 5 years back for being the kid with a skateboard and a ripped pair of etnies.

 

if i see someone with a pair of janoskis, a palace tee and a thrasher hat or something like that i'll assume they skate and if they don't it annoys the f*ck out of me. one half of me is stoked that brands like palace, supreme, polar, huf etc get money from the hypebeast kids because for the most part they're good companies that are run by/sponsor rad skaters but at the same time it sucks not even being able to buy a f*cking palace tshirt because it all sells out in 5 minutes thanks to hypebeasts using bots to buy stuff as soon as it drops and a majority of the time they're not even buying it to wear/have any interest in it they're just buying for the name or logo (ie palace triangle or supreme box logos).

My friends at college used to get really f*cking mad about that. For those exact reasons (I don't skate so I can't speak on that issue).

It's probably not the same but similar, I noticed the same thing with body mods.

 

Everyone who used to hate them (and anyone who had them) is now fully obsessed with them. E.g I was told for years I was a gross (and all the other names under the sun, food thrown at me etc.) for the ring in my nose - the exact people who had an issue with body mods, now embrace septum piercings and how it's their choice to have them.

 

Y'know same as the kids who moaned at those of us with tattoos because they were convinced we'd never get a job, but here they are using their new found love for body mods to get in with certain crowds of people

 

I wouldn't mind, but when they go out of their way to attack people for something AND THEN do those exact things because it's 'cool' now, it is pretty annoying.

I have a similar problem to you, See I'm stuck using earphones because 1, I'm a cheap ba$tard, 2 Headphones here for my liking are expensive and I can't afford them even if I wanted too and 3 It's hard to find something that'll fit my head (Yes I know they can be adjusted but some either stick and pull my hair or they feel uncomfortable even after adjusting it multiple times)

 

So guess what? I'm stuck using earphones of course thay are Samsung branded that I was given by a Mate because he had a few and just needed to off load some. Only problem here is when I fully plug the jack in I only get sound from one earphone and not the other and it just feels "off". I have to have the jack half in / half out (the tip of the jack is just in but you can see the rest of the jacks body before it's covered by the white plastic coating) Before it'll even output sound to both earphones.

 

I plug the same earphones into my Ipad Air tablet and guess what, both earphones work without the need of being plugged in a fancy way unlike my Desktop PC.

Boy the folks at Instagram and Google must be at a loss of things to do, they must be desperate. I'd be lying if I said the constant minor aesthetic changes they keep doing bug me because they do. I'm like, it's fine, if you're going to change it then make sure that it actually looks better. But so far, things have gotten bulkier and flat out uglier to look at. You get over it when you have to use it only a daily basis but it's still highly unnecessary an really makes you wonder what goes on in their heads.
