I can't draw sh*t on paper

Word of advice, anything teaching you how to draw digitally that's worth listening to will tell you that you must be able to draw traditionally before moving to digital - digital is simply a tool for drawing, if you're unable to get the basics down with traditional methods you simply won't be able to draw digitally.

 

Plus, if I'm going to be honest, you aren't going to get very far just using a mouse. Sure, people have made some kinda nice looking things but all it'll do is give you bad habits for a pretty poor output.

 

You're best off learning to draw on paper, then once you've got that down and have the money get a tablet for digital.

I go to two different campuses for my classes this semester. Had Sociology today so left the house and started going to the wrong campus. About halfway there I realized I was going the wrong way and quickly turned around and rushed to the other campus only to have a student still me that the class was cancelled when I got there.

I know, they're extremely bias. Every time Sanders wins a state, it's apparently a border state of Vermont, or it's a dominantly white state. It never ends with them.

As someone "in the biz" (I'm an Automotive Journalist), electric cars couldn't have come at a better time. I digress; the electric automobile should have arrived sooner than it did. First of all, let's clear the air: The normal fossil fuel-burning car isn't going into oblivion anytime soon. Our current infrastructure is nowhere near capable of an instantaneous switch. Charging points might be fairly easy to find in a larger city, but in suburban and rural areas you're currently out of luck if you want to speed charge. Sure, you can get a 240 volt line (we Americans have 110 by default in our house) installed for charging your car at a slightly faster rate but don't have any plans. For a full charge from empty on a 240V charging station you are looking at anywhere from 5-10 hours depending on the model of car you have. Even higher voltage chargers can still take a couple hours to reach an almost complete charge on empty. Slowly this problem is being solved via dealerships that sell electric cars. As more E-cars are sold, more dealerships are installing the higher voltage charge stations. I got to use a Tesla Model S for a week for a review and in my city of 100,000 people, there are only two high speed stations. One at a Nissan dealership and another at the local power company.

 

The fun thing about electric cars is torque. Unlike their gas-fueled siblings, E-cars have 100% torque from 0 RPM. The second your foot hits the gas pedal, you get all the torque you need to melt tires. Because of this, E-cars are trickling into the drag racing scene and hitting amazing numbers. You even have the upper elites in the automotive manufacturing world phasing in E-cars & hybrid technology. The Porsche 918, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric, McLaren P1, & Koenigsegg Regera are just a few on a quickly-growing list. However, gas, alcohol, methanol, and ethanol will always have a spot in traditional racing so all hope is not lost.

With my car in the shop, an associate of mine lent me his old car that had been idle for months. After inquiring about the insurance, registration, and reliability, I was told not worry about anything. Just needs to work a for a day right? Twenty minutes later, the car breaks down in the heart of my city's (and possibly my state's) most dangerous Salvadoran neighborhood at night.

 

 

Sitting in a car with my valid but out-of-state-issued driver's license, no insurance, no registration, a jerry-rigged ignition, and greasy khakis at night make me a sitting duck for any intuitive cop. Not to mention the numerous street gangs in the area. So I say "f*ck it" and ditch the car. The longest hour-long walk of my life to say the least.

See some beautiful white ink over solid blackwork tattoos on instagram, and of course it's no surprise the comments are mostly 'you can do white ink over black??!!'.

This is the result of pretentious, know it all tattoo artists. I have come across countless artists who talk to customers like sh*t, sometimes mocking what the customer wants - telling me supposed 'facts' about tattooing which are false, but they won't listen because obviously most of their customers aren't qualified artists.

 

White ink over black is a thing and it works. However most of the time you will be told 'no, that wouldn't work' by certain artists, despite the thousands of people who have had it done.
Same with piercers, some of them are pretentious for no reason. Thankfully there is a guy in my area that is chill enough that I don't have to worry about going to him.

I now can't tolerate having anyone else tattoo me, can't deal with it.

i was under the impression that white ink just hurts more for some reason when they go back over the black. i dont have any white ink so i wouldn't know

That makes sense, whilst white ink can be done over black, it will take time (and more time means more pain I guess). You have to repeat the lines until they're clearer. Just a matter of patience and a decent pain threshold, but I think a lot of people have sessions spaced apart so as to not cause excessive pain or damage.

My understanding is that white works over black, but it won't give full and complete coverage. So it's fine for highlighting/contrasting existing black, or for creating a base for a paler textured cover over dark solids, but won't work as a complete cover. And whilst white inks are technically no more UV sensitive than any other colour, fading tends to be more...well, if not noticable, then more pronounced.

I agree that you'll always get trolls spamming the YouTube comment sections, but this sh*t is on a whole different level. The lengths some of these dolts go to to defend their ludicrous theories leads me to conclude there is a strong mental deficiency aiding this swarm - a cult, one might say - to collectively utilise these videos to spew this sh*te. I'm old enough to know this isn't exclusive to astronomy, but again, it struck me as quite a shock.

From what it sounds like, the owner didn't really give a sh*t about the car in the first place, otherwise he would have taken better care of it. I can see the situation being settled with a cash payment but I doubt it'll happen.
