All I tried to say in core, was that I feel that it's sort of weird/unusual that technology advances so quickly that it catches up to so much younger demographics now already, hopefully appropriately

 

It feels like way more than the few years ago that smartphones were the new cool thing everyone wanted; I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years everyone has something like the google glasses or such and you could drive your car only by looking or things like that

 

I'm just unsure if I should enjoy or critically view those big steps in technology, I guess more years of experiencing living would tell

It did; we're currently doing a project in school regarding all kinds of social communication things and one thing in it was how modern technology and social media affects us and the way we communicate as well as how early it starts

 

Our teacher proposed the idea of testing our kindergarteners since she was pretty sure something like that would happen

 

I did word it wrongly, of course the majority still turned pages and read and all, but it's still a bit "frightening" that some parents let their young children use these technologies at such an early age

Although that is just my opinion and one might disagree

I feel ashamed but to not drive off topic too far, I would like to agree to something that was mentioned previously;

I think social media is overrated nowadays, I personally think it's less personal if you tell someone a Happy Birthday on Facebook than somehow in real life, nor do I actually understand the core purpose of twitter

I work in healthcare, and the downside to this is every bathroom on-site seems to have those big round drum dispensaries for toilet paper. It looks like a tight, blue anus and it's impossible to get more than one sheet out at once, so if you've had a particularly violent dinner you're left pulling at it frantically like a magician pulling hankies out of a hat. By the time you've gotten an adequate amount of sheets, your place of work has long since gone into administration, closed down and bought by the local council with the intent of turning it into flats.

 

What's worse though is when the cretin who used the toilet before you somehow managed to push the toilet paper inside the dispensary leaving you high and dry at the most critical moment. At this point you have to crawl around on your hands and knees like Anne Frank, trying in vain to find something innocuous to wipe with. The only other option are usually blue paper towels which are about as fun to wipe with as pair of gangrenous dentures and don't even flush so you're left with a fistful of suspiciously smelly blue paper towels with your pants around your ankles wondering why you were even born. Your best bet is to cram them in the ridiculously tiny pedal bins and hope nobody goes into the toilets immediately after you, lest they suspect you of being a fecal hoarder waiting for the opportune moment to take the paper towels home and add to your shrine.

LOL. I found you Post strangely hilarious. Yes I hate those Drum Dispensers as well. Often the Toilet Paper is often 'half ply' as well.

Say, your country (whichever it may be) gets flooded by refugees from the middle east which makes the capabilities of physically sheltering them almost explode, at the same time a disguised right wing party gets frighteningly many votes and people start to believe lies about the refugees whatever they may be?

 

Because that's what's going on here right now and what makes me grumpy is that everyone believes the lies they're told and don't realize that they're slipping into a right wing direction x.x

This is Friday. Here in Libya the Weekends are Friday and Saturday. We always hang out in Friday, today wasn't an exception. We got in the car all dandy, and we headed out. Not even a Kilometer away I (we) witnessed CAR HIJACK, right in front of us (well not LITERALLY in front of us but whatev). According to the poor driver who was in front of us, the thieves were chasing him all over the place. When the assholes finally cornered him they saw another car - better than the one the poor man was driving - they ignored him and hi-f*cking-jacked the OLD MAN off his Kia car. The driver who was in front of us, in fear, spammed the Reverse, crashing into us, hard.

 

My father didn't know what the f*ck was going on and IMMEDIATELY blamed the man for "being a blind f*ck", my mother though the man's car was acting out and couldn't stop his car from reversing. The moment the poor guy crashed into us, the moment he jumped off his Jeep and ran away to the nearby road (all this happened so close to an Intersection). He yelled at my father to do the same, and my dad reversed to the same street. There, I literally saw, and a quote, a thief holding an AK-47, aiming at the other elder, in his (Kia) car, dragging him off and jumping in that stolen car and hauled ass with it.

 

According to the driver who was in front of us, these thieves were chasing him from the start. When they cornered him they saw another man (an elder with a Kia), they ignored him (the driver who was in front of us) and hijacked the poor elder. Right. In. Front. of. His. House. He nearly passed out while telling us to run. The thieves even fired in mid-air (yet the idiot of a father didn't hear sh*t).

 

 

Moments like this makes me wish that Libya stayed a Kingdom and that F*ckdafi didn't takeover the country so that revolutions against the government wouldn't be possible. Uf. I took a looooong break from GTA games, only for GTA sh*t to happen right before my f*cking eyes. Not only is that - our (my father)'s car is in ruins, its a miracle my dad could drive it back to our home. I'm still shaking from the "aftermath". smh
