So I haven't played GTA III since it's initial PC release(not counting sampling it on 360 and Android). Bottom line is I forget/forgot most of the last half of the game. Friday night is computer night here in my house which means my wife is in her adjoining office playing games. That also means I can't Twitch broadcast because it would just be endless mocking from her.

 

Anyway I just finished the last mission in III which takes the game to the credits. It took me nearly all week of endless attempts while streaming. So tonight when I finally finished it wasn't captured. I didn't realize it was the final mission. f*ck!!!!

 

 

*side note: I did complete it once while streaming but the game locked up when it should have gone to the cut scene. Also, I may force myself to replay it tonight(after the wife leaves) so that I can feel I completed the broadcast.

Well, you know what this means - people will be watching you do taxi missions instead! Only thing I can think of is downloading a save and streaming from an earlier point. Not only will people not know the difference, but you'll have done the missions already so they'll be a little easier.

I have my save right before the mission. I'm cool to replay it...just not sure if I have the energy and drive since it took me nearly a week to successfully complete. That and next up is Bad Mojo and I've been kinda chomping at the bit to play it since I haven't played it since it's release in '96.

If you get the AP Stretch early on in the game that mission becomes somewhat of a breeze since you can run the majority of them down with it and then use it for cover to pop the guys up on the stairs

But holy f*ck - any stretch would make that drive from your safehouse to the start of the mission take like forever. I need a Stinger for that leg of the run and even then I seem to manage to crash and explode them on my way.

 

When I try the 'run the guys' over technique I always exploded so I gave up with that approach.

 

 

Oh and hey...for the record. Even though I've been playing video games forever I have never claimed to be any good. I only claim skills at Donkey Kong arcade(and maybe the original Punch Out).

thats where the AP Stretch comes in useful If 3 works like VC you should just be able to leave the Stretch near the entrance of the dam and itll stay. Since this is grumpy thread and I don't wanna be off topic f*ck sony vegas

I managed to replay and complete the final credits mission in GTA III again - this time with camera. Took an hour...but I've been drinking and such.

 

Oh wait. Ya know what? I will be grumpy. I touched on it elsewhere but anyway...GTA III is not that great of a game. It was totally ground breaking for its open worldness at the time but all in all it isn't that great. The story is so disjointed, shallow and near pointless; A weak vehicle to transition between the minigame/missions.

Y duz it hav 2 b 2 folders 4 program files on 64bit cystms?

 

I keep having to open both in order to browse for a program when a file type isn't associated to any..speeeeedbreaker gettouttamaway.

it's to do with keeping 32bit and 64bit programs in seperate places so there's no conflict between dlls or some sh*t

 

also just pin said program to start menu

Pinning wasn't a solution in this case though. It was the .eml files for which I downloaded a free eml reader. The file type wasn't associated to any program so had to browse twice or thrice for the exe as I kept missing the checkbox to set it to default in hurry.
