OT: 3rd week without proper broadband internet. I finally get the phone line connected.

I call up the ISP to get the internet sent to the correct line.

Here is me thinking this will take a few minutes. 7-10 working days? WTF?

Speaking of Broadband, I just got my NBN Premise Connection device installed yesterday (12 AM now so it's now "Yesterday") Install went well and the guys rocked up early at 8am and I somehow slept through most of it. When I woke up the box was installed on the side of the house and i'm good to go. Well almost good to go that is... I now have to wait 2 months for NBN to switch the area on but I'm fine with waiting as it isn't that far off. Next step is to book a plan with the ISP / RSP and get the NTD installed.

 

Here's a photo i took (Potato quality but you can make it out that it's the NBN Box) This was taken the day before the install (Thursday) and it wasn't connected to anything, I just found it laying on the gravel at the side of my house. it Installed on Friday morning

Just found out my earache is actually a swollen gum on the left side of my face, which is do to a cavity therefore infected, turned into an abscess resulting in lots of Pain. So I'm popping some antibiotics, Motrin 800 for the inflammation and pain until it's time to pull the sucker out.

Kinda is the entire point, since you cherry-picked one particular like of his in order to attempt to invalidate his stated opinion, which apparently was against a game you like a lot. Which is fine. That's called personal choice, his don't effect your enjoyment of LL as much as your dislike for GTAO don't effect his enjoyment of it.

 

For someone with very strong and often stated opinions, you have a very low tolerance for others who do the same.

@Grandtheftnine - mate, I'm pretty jealous. Especially if you are getting fibre to the house. 100/100 up/down speed they reckon?

I still can't believe how huge the box is. It's makes the mdf box look tiny.

 

I'll be getting fibre to the node in May, but they reckon you'll be lucky to break the 20/10 point. Which, in the end, I'll be happy with for gaming (currently .5 up max) but I just feel like it's money wasted when the original plan of fibre to the house would have set up Australia for years to come. Now we are still behind the 8 ball, as usual.

 

They also reckon that if you 'need' fibre to the house, they will set that up for you, at a charge of 4,000 to 8,000 dollars!!! Just ludicrous.

 

Oh and TPG are doing unlimited NBN plans for like 69 dollars.

My old Toshiba got so hot that touching it was like touching a burner. You could fry some eggs on the side of that thing! I remember putting my M&M's a few inches away from it once and they melted.
