I've gone through about 50 baby cats in my life, and from my experience, it's normal for them to scream a little. They usually start screaming when they've had enough. The best way to give them milk is to wrap them up like a hotdog, but not too tight. Then, slowly give them milk through a small baby bottle or tiny cup. when it complains, it has had enough. Water's fine, though. Milk helps it more, I believe.

I am grumpy. I'm grumpy that people done went and f*cked up a good thing.

 

I consider my formidable years to be the 1970's. A lot of people my age can reminiscence of better times. Even today the person who makes my lunch(same age) mentioned it to me without it being our actual conversation.

 

There certainly was no where near the level of racial tension as there seems(or is fed to us by the 24hour news cycle) today. There didn't seem to be the mob level of manufactured outrage as there is today.

 

If you wanted to live dangerously, it was your own risk. No one stopped you...f*ck "If you wanna die...go ahead".

 

People seemed to get along [enough].

 

My wife claims it was thanks to cocaine and disco and cocaine and disco would solve a lot of the social bullsh*t of today.

 

I was raised a weird kid and to say I was raised a pacifist doesn't cover a fraction of how deep it goes.

 

I've known this song my whole life...I've seen lots of people (including Pete do it a bunch) and for some reason it has been in my head all week.

So... I pulled out 5 hard drives out of some laptops at the beginning of the week, one of which I decided to dismantle since I couldn't justify the purchase of an IDE adapter for the sake of 1 60GB drive. Anyway, I've just had one of the remaining 4 (basically) crap out on me literally seconds after I moved some stuff over onto it. It still works... Mechanically... But it just refuses to move data.

 

To top it off, the drive is only 4 years old (the newest of all the drives I ripped out) and it's only had about a years worth of use (going by the amount of hours it's been powered on, a touch under 4000). Lets just say my confidence for another drive has just shot down dramatically... What drive? The same model (WD Scorpio Blue) but a year older.

 

Just to add more salt, I had a 1TB drive fail on me last week (another drive I took out a laptop) which is the reason I decided to rip out some more laptop drives. Though because of that I ended up with 1.5TB worth of drives... *Adds more salt* But, 500GB of that is now useless, not to mention I have an older model of the same drive as well, so I could very easily end up with another 1TB of useless storage.

 

Anyway, I'm running testdisk now, I'll see what, if any, data it can get back for me. It's nothing important, just ~30GB of music files, but I'd rather get them back off the drive instead of painfully making my way through the drive (you can still look through the files... Just barely though) to see which songs need to be re-downloaded.

 

 

EDIT: A little update...

 

I decided that the drive was a lost cause but I thought about using WinRAR to create an archive which I could save onto my internal drives with minimal interaction with the faulty drive. So far it seems like it's actually working, though I don't know if the drive is going to interfere at the end of the process since I don't know if it moves everything in a lump at the end or if it does it while it's adding the files to the archive (I rarely use WinRAR to create archives and whatnot, I only use it to open .zip files and whatnot, since 7Zip is pretty bad imo.

 

If it works... Well, I get my data back. If it doesn't... I'll probably just call it a lost cause and dismantle the drive

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag > $75 > "Fresh" (non-used) copy = broken piece of sh*t.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of The Dragon > Goodness knows how old this sh*t is + Boring to death compared to TLoS: The Eternal Night = $100, are you kidding me?!

A VERY easy solution is to simply create a "Rate Your MODDED Car/Bike" thread and reopen the previous one after cleaning all the nonsense. Win-Win.

That's not what I was talking about. They're just anti mods in general, claiming they're destroying the game. You can understand why I find this more than just annoying, mods are whats kept GTA relevant for years.

Oh. I though you guys were talking about GTAF Mods AKA Moderators. Whoops.

 

But seriously though, reskin mods are totally fine and harmless. There's a big difference of using, say, an MiG31M skin mod that replaces the current Lazer's appearance and using cheap Mod/Scrip Menu. Even third-party PC Multiplayer games like MTA:SA allows the use of skin mods, as far as I know.

So I live in a city of 300k spread out very evenly with plenty of shopping districts, none much smaller or bigger than the others. The City has a little more going for it in terms of dinners and late night venues, and after 530PM parking is free, which is great, makes it easy to go to a bar, or dinner or whatever because public transport f*cking sucks, buses to suburbs out of the main 5 shopping centres are hourly and all finish about 1030-11pm. On Saturday's parking is only 830am until 12pm. Sundays it is free, because public transport is twice as bad on weekends.

Well now the local government has decided to make parking in the city 0830am until 1030pm EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! WHAT THE f*ck IS THIS? IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE LOW ON PARKS! AND YOUR PUBLIC TRANSPORT SUCKS DICK AND CABS COST $40 - $90 DOLLARS IF YOU ARE ANYWHERE MORE THAN A FEW KMS OUT OF THE CITY! WTF IS THIS sh*t?

I am so angry about this, it's f*cked up, I don't wanna take a girl out, pay for dinner, and 15 bucks just to park for a few hours, what a f*cking joke, they're just going to kill off business that rely on people driving to the city for dinners, because nobody actually lives in the city, because it's a spread out city and there's nearly no high rise apartments anywhere. Ergghh! Makes me so mad
