I hate this trend of Hollywood running out of ideas and having to resort to making remakes of every movie in existence. It'd be kind of tolerable if the remakes were halfway decent, but more often than not they're sh*tty cash-ins that make you wish you were watching the original instead. I just hope they never get around to remaking The Outsiders, because you know they'll f*ck it up real bad, and cast Justin Bieber as Ponyboy. Goddamn, that'd be awful.

Why that one in particular? The best book on the subject IMO is "Soviet Strategic Thought, 1917-91".

I had heard it was a quite decent book, added to the fact that I am most interested in the 1980's period of the conflict, which is what the book supposedly covers. I will check that one, then

 

Also, could you please recommend me any other books covering the Cold War, either general history, tactics, conflicts, etc.? For the last months I have been mainly focused in the proxy wars fought in South America but I feel like everything I read is way superficial or written from a real biased point of view.

I've recently re-read both main parts of the Mitrokhin Archive, by Vasili Mitrokhin and Christopher Andrew:

"The Mitrokhin Archive: The KGB in Europe and the West"

"The Mitrokhin Archive II: The KGB and the World"

 

A few other books have been published on the same document base, most notably "The Sword and the Shield", but the two parts of the Archive are more complete. The second part can be a bit of a pain to find sometimes; you may have more luck getting "The World Was Going Our Way: The KGB and the Battle for The Third World" which is basically an abridged version of it.

 

Also, Douglas Valentine's "The Phoenix Program" is an excellent summary of covert US counterinsurgency warfare in Vietnam.

She called me crazy, a wack job stoner, called what I believed in stupid. Said lucid dreaming wasn't natural, and forbade me from herbs because they're not fda approved. Yet I'm allowed to drink sleepy time chamomile tea. She's so fearful and hostile towards things she doesn't want to understand and doesn't even want to try to understand.

 

I wish I was alive during 1969 and I was there to watch Santana play while he was tripping off ketamine. And also the 70's.

What do you need supplements for? WILD nigga, practice that sh*t. Your LD isn't natural if you need supplements to induce it, and it'll be nothing but a meaningless, wasted experience if you don't work for it.

What about the lack of Information regarding GTA V?

 

Rockstar have generally not used E3 as a platform to launch or announce stuff, so I wouldn't have pinned any hopes of Rockstar deciding to throw a bone to the Single Player market and announce some updates or new stories... eh Rockstar.

Then I spent 10 minutes at the gas station describing a potato lefse to some 0 year-old whose only response was a sustained "uh". His boss finally came and told me they didn't stock them any more. Ugh.

i dont see how he will do it. He doesnt like to film oversea's (even though he did ZD30 in Jordan/India) A lot of Indian Jones films require oversea's work, unless they are going to green screen the whole thing.

Last night in a concert I stepped on a broken bottle and cut my heel - it got stuck in the sole of my sneaker -. Aside from the fact that it's a pain in the ass, as I can barely step on my left feet, the sanitary attention I got at the time bothered me. First off, one of the paramedics kept telling me that I had taken something else than alcohol, that he could see it my eyes, when I wasn't even drunk, and he wouldn't shut the f*ck up until a pal of mine told him that I was clean. I mean, it's absolutely understandable that it may be basic protocol to ask the patient if they have taken any kind of drugs or something, but that's not the way to ask it.

 

Secondly, when paramedics finished, they told me to get to the local clinic, when it was pretty obvious that I hadn't ever been in this town and was f*cking lost. I mean, it's not such a big deal but if it wasn't because some friends we were with were from there, I would still probably looking for the damn clinic while limping like a motherf*cker.

I walk into gamestop yesterday this girl whom i've never seen before in there (i know everybody who works there) I don't judge people based on looks but i just had a feeling she wasn't going to know what i was about to ask her for.

 

I walk in and she says Hi, Welcome to gamestop blah blah blah can i help you find anything? I said yeah i need a recharable battery pack for an 360 controller i swear she looked me dead in the eyes and said ummmm what's a 360 rechargeable battery pack?

 

I said it's a battery that i can put into my controller and recharge it, She says OhOkay!!! *Turns around to the wall behind the counter and her eyes darting back and forth she picks up a PS4 Charging Dock and puts it on the counter and starts to ring it up i said that's not it again she looked me dead in the eys and said...Umm i'm pretty sure it is.

 

I said that clearly says Playstation 4 Controller Dock. Oh silly me! hang on she turns around again and grabs something for a DS i said no that's not it either i said what i need is right there and pointed it out to her she looks at me and said where? i said can i show you? she says sure so i walk around the counter and pick it up she looked at me and said Oooh!! That's what that is i was wondering.

 

Either i got trolled hard or she blew somebody to get that job i'm really hoping she was trolling me otherwise i've lost a little faith in gamestop hiring of people.

 

I've walked into Gamestop before and had an 80 year old woman help me and knew exactly what i was asking for...
