I regret taking pre-calculus because 90% of what we have learned so far was already covered in Trigonometry.

I took an AP calc (Calculus I) class by accident, right after Algebra II, and it's really easy to get into. The trig stuff was probably the most difficult part of the class actually, maybe because I hadn't taken any classes beyond the one lesson on Sin Cos and Tan we had in geometry, but it's still easy enough that I feel like you don't really have to.

Pre-calc classes sound like they suck. :/

Because we all know how many professional careers require calculus

I hope you know school's not about preparing you for a career anyway. Someone would be real confused if they went out into the job world thinking what they learned in geography, history, art, or english prepared them for anything specific either. It's all about making you think, and it is important for anyone going into further math, engineering, or sciences to get calc in, since they assume you know it in most higher learning.

This smelly skunk which has been prowling my neighborhood lately is back. I can't stand the odor, smells like ass and onions. Why at night, skunk, why. I just wanna sleep, but I have to breathe this in all night now. Thanks, asshole.

Once again the seasons forgot to transition smoothly from one to another. Woke up this morning and it feels like winter. The grumpier part is having to turn my heat on. You have any idea what it costs to heat this f*cking place!

I hate my neighbors, and most of my neighborhood too.

They, like most people here, have this annoying f*cking dog that they leave outside 24/7 and it never shuts up. The guy comes home drunk in the middle of the night and parks his sh*tty, rusting, right-wing bumper sticker covered truck on his front lawn while he screams for one of his homeschooled children to let him in. Worst part is, it's becoming the norm in this neighborhood. Time to move before they start throwing hodowns instead of block parties.

Do people still email news links to their friends, like what those news sites have with the "mail this to a friend" thing? How does that work out?

"Hello Dave, I saw that you mentioned a train at work earlier today, so I am emailing you a link to a train crash in Vancouver that killed 67 people.

Kind Regards,
Tom"

So, I'm walking around the city with my brother and a friend of ours. I guess we were visibly having fun, because an unmarked police car with 3 officers inside pulled up. At this point, we had just walked up towards the front entrance of a Stop N Shop. Without any explanation, they ask me "where are you from?" So I tell them "I live over on -redacted- street, why?" They get irritated and step out of the car. "What's your name?" I tell them. They tell me a bullsh*t story about how I fit the description of a burglary suspect, and that they saw me take a cut-through behind the building that is supposedly popular with criminals (lol like, wat?). Problem is, I didn't. I just walked up to the building from the front. Apparently, this explanation is not good enough for them, and they proceed to look for holes in my obviously made up story, cause I mean, who just goes for walks anymore? Obviously, if you're a young person in a hoodie out enjoying a nice Autumn day, you must be up to no good. Since they realize they have nothing to go on, one of the cops gets in my brothers face, shouting, and otherwise just being a provocative asshole. My brother, who has some very serious anxiety issues, gets heated, and ends up handcuffed in the back of a cruiser. What I found amusing though was that during this encounter, I took off my jacket and placed it on the ground. The cop who got into my brother's face looked down at my jacket, and asked who it belonged to. They saw me taking the cut-through, but they don't know what f*cking jacket I had on? Grade A police work there, Serpico.

For some reason, they just took my brother back to the station and released him. I don't know why they didn't just do it on the spot. Oh well, they got their little arrest. They can go home and tell themselves they're heroes.

TL;DR:

-stopped by cops

-told I fit description of a suspect

-cops make up story

-cops get caught in made-up story

-cops resort to intimidation

-cops detain my brother

-I walk home

-my resentment for pigs continues to grow

You can't assume that every cop is a bad guy and stuff. Sure, there's a few bad cops, but not every cop becomes a cop just for the sake of being a bad guy.

Do you live in Chicago or something? Like seriously the cops sound pretty f*cking corrupt where you live. I have had some run in with the law in my time but the cops are usually pretty decent people and listen to your side of the story. To me it sounds like Everytime you have had a run in with the law they have assumed you guilty which hasn't been the case for me.

I'm sure there's plenty of cops who are decent, well-intentioned people. It doesn't change the fact that they're cops.

Now you're just being edgy. Exactly how are cops bad just because they're cops?

Nah, I live in central New Jersey, where 99 Percent Of Police Brutality Complaints Go Uninvestigated. Cops here can do whatever the f*ck they want.

Police exist to serve the interests of capital. They're not your friends.

They do not exist to protect me. They do not exist to make my life easier. They exist to protect private property, and collect revenue for the state. To them, I'm just another life to ruin.

So if you got mugged by a thug and got your wallet and mobile phone stolen and then a cop captured the assailant. Returned your property to you. And sent the punk to jail you would still say that cops aren't there to help you out at all?

I mean yeah cops aren't always good and all but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that they are mostly good and do serve the interests of most of the population.

A) Huffington Post is nothing but moonbattery.

B) Look at what I underlined. Just because police there are brutal or whatever, does that mean cops in, say, Buttf*ck Indiana equally corrupt?

A.) Did you even read the article?

I was one of those complaints that went ignored. My older brother got lumped up by two off-duty cops not a block away from where we were stopped today. His complaint too went ignored.

B.) All cops serve the interest of capital. All cops are bastards.

Fun fact: domestic violence is statistically higher amongst households in which a police officer resides (40%) compared to the general population (10%).

Where are you getting your numbers from? Again, here's another analogy for you:

People work at McDonalds. How many instances of people ejaculating into hamburgers do you see? If you see them, would you count every single fast food employee to be a bad person?
