The wait until the 10th is unbearable. I wish I could just move into my house now. And my apartment just keeps getting worse and worse by the day. Since most of the people there are unemployed and have limited options of places to go they are like freaking out and the cops come almost every night. f*cking c*nts never want to work on anything. Have 3 assignments due this week, two are group. Not a single group member texted me back this weekend so I said f*ck it and started the assignment, due Tuesday, myself right now instead of studying for a quiz at an 8 a.m. class tomorrow.

 

This is f*cking fourth year, grow the f*ck up and get sh*t done. I hate doing sh*t like this last minute on top of having to do 69 other assignments. Is that too much to ask of 21 year old adults?

How are you graded on the assignment? are you expected to write a thesis on the assignments? If the assignment has additional questions and writing then do the assignments and either let the course tutor know who did all the work, or more slyly study on your own and know the answers to the questions or write up an accurate thesis, while the rest will flounder.

I had several issues like that in high school and i made sure to let the teacher know i did all the work and they did nothing and so when we went up to give the report the teacher told me to sit down while they gave the oral report and bombed it each time i got an A and they got an F after that i made sure to get with people who actually help

 

Sometimes I wonder how it was like for couples in the past. For example, how did couples keep in touch with each other before they used cell phones and e-mails? If they didn't contact each other as often as they do now, did it make them miss each other more?

Letters were the most common form of commuication a year or so ago after my ex grandpa died i was helping cleaning out the house and i came across this old shoebox that was filled to the brim with letters dating back as far as 1920 to the 1940's when he was in Europe during World War II.

 

Love letters and romance are lost on today youth unlike it was back then.

I take it that none of the old forumers are old people.

This is post-secondary so the profs are like "don't care, you're adults, solve it on your own this is fourth year of a degree, you should know who you work well with by now and who you do not. Even if you do not or something happens, you are adults, deal with it." Except, some profs f*cking assign groups even still, like we're all in grade 9. And they don't even try, they just do it based on alphabetical order in the class list. So I get stuck with the same people over and over and over and over again.

 

The grading is one mark for all group members. No feedback, nothing. You just write up an analytical essay based on a scenario and then hand it in. We either get those or group presentations, which I loathe even more. So, that's why they know they can jerk off until the last moment, it's all one mark. The odd prof will add a feedback component to a group assignment but even still, it's one mark for all. Most they may do is dock them participation marks in class. Which won't do anything.

 

Tattle tailing to the prof when you are 21 years old looks bad, man, and then the rest of the class starts to hate you because this type of sh*t always gets around. Too many politics and stupid sh*t in my program.

 

I remember in first year I literally had to kick two group members out and it caused this giant sh*tstorm and the prof was like "but why am I involved?" basically, those two people and I still hate each other. Well, they seem to hate me, I don't give two sh*ts about them. One of the two actually never made it second year altogether because that particular class was a prerequisite for classes in second year and....she failed because of myself and two others in that group kicking her and the other person out. Even though they deserved it, I still feel bad because one of them ended up failing out of the program and the second nearly did but luckily was a little smarter than the first and managed to make it up in the final exam.

 

As for today, what makes me grumpy is I only had four hours of sleep because of my neighbours, who spent the whole night laughing and talking loudly. Didn't fall asleep until well past 4 a.m. only to get up at 5:30 a.m. and here I am sitting waiting for my 8 a.m. class to begin so I can fail this quiz.

 

Then I have a two hour commute to look forward to, to get home.

I know this is a bit petty, but neither myself nor Airacobra said anything about telling tales. Telling the truth that you did all the work (and implying the others didn't) is merely stating a fact. Complaining about the others not pulling their weight would be telling tales (it is a matter of degrees (ba dum tch))

 

As for lazy professors and shared marks then the choice is yours. Forsake the shared exercise for your own personal assignments or suck it up and carry the others, keeping in mind that you are also getting marks and passing the course. At the end of the day it is your course you are completing. The others are just lucky to know you.

I hate it! I'm a nice guy by default. Yet no girls tend to care. Oh here comes the genetic tall muscular guy who treats women like trash and they like it. Before nice guys were the ones to look for. Also, something that's been bugging me for a while. Why are some classes in high school mandatory? Why is it that I have to take 2 reading and writing classes yet only get credit for one? Why do I have to take art class yet I'm not artistic?

Bullsh*t. 10 years of silly art classes and I'm still nowhere near meeting the standards for art class.

 

Why can't it be like this:

 

"Only take classes that you like or will benefit you." Not "take classes that'll waste your time and not benefit you."

To make it even more embarrassing, my old drawings weren't as bad as these days.

 

Another complaint: Don't you hate it when you forget one of your best PS1 games? For the life of me I can't remember the name of that one game when you're controlling what it look like a bee, when you jump you "kinda" fly using a jetpack. You only have a limited number of "dashes", but the more you progress into the game the higher the dash number. I can't remember the title for the life of me.

 

Additional complaint: So, I found a kitten in the house, named her after an old cat I had (Demo), all fine and dandy. Gave her some food and left her. 10 second later (or ago) I hear her screaming again. Problem? Some f*cking assed out cats attacked her and ate HER DAMN FOOD. I attacked the intruders and re-filled her cup to eat. Problem? She didn't want to eat again. Apparently she isn't hungry anymore.

 

Jeez. Why having a pet is something hard these days?!

Eh, if only. Ironically, the harder I try the worse I become. If only my hand drawing weren't that bad, or all I need is simply draw whatever I want, photograph it and then using the Path tool I can simply make a line-art then color since I'm decent in that side.

Don't believe I said either of you told me to tattle on anyone. That is never perceived well by the rest of your peers. In my class, word does get round that you went to a prof to tattle on someone. These people are my future colleagues, I am studying law, so it's a given that I will have to deal with most of them in the future depending on where we end up. Because of the nature of my program, everything is pretty political. Profs have their favourites, generally the students who participate in the mooting events (mock trials), everyone else is just sort of "there".

 

I know how to and do deal with this on my own and get everything done. Both the group work and the individual assignments. I was just venting because I am sick of still having to deal with this in the last year of my degree. I thought by now people would have grown up and taken it more seriously, but with group assignments it is usually always assumed that someone else will get it done so people slack off.

Fair enough. I summised incorrectly. In any case, in all the confusion I do agree the shirking of responsibility in any circumstance. Especially when you might be dependent on someone is just plain agonizing.

 

I will give you one cheeky slap in the face though. Law is a c*nt's degree. Of what I know a hell of a lot of people choose to study it to the point a lot of 'undesirables' who resort to genuinely sh*tty tactics to pass join. Law has a rep of big pay for big ego's and self assured bs that you could make Sadam look like a girl guide (Impossible on at least two accounts, but such is reputation you have to be seen to do the impossible). Of course not everyone studying law is a c*nt, but law is a per-requisite for all deluded Spectre Wannabies so the genuine workers are going to be lost on or shafted by the posers and lay abouts.

 

Moral of the story, When you take on a popular topic, expect all the sh*t and the pests to congregate sooner and on greater mass than those who care to appreciate and respect what the topic is about, just because it makes them look better than they are (much like a lot of posts on this forum )

 

I wish you the best in your degree. I've no doubt dumb and dumber will be found out sooner rather than later.

Since I'm still a trainee in my new company I only make my hourly wage with no bonuses or commissions and I am maxed out at 40 hours a week so my paychecks are only like $1050 after the tax man every two weeks. I just want to get done with this training period so I can start making real money. I pretty much already know the stuff but you are required to be a trainee for a certain period after you start. The full fledged techs usually make between $60k-$90k depending on experience and sales performance. I can't wait until I can get into the range within a few years.
