Putting band on the back burner would earn me an F and that would screw up my A honor. It's considered a regular class here so I can't just stop participating. And as far as I'm concerned it's the only fun thing in my life right now, it helps me get away from the stresses of school and the dramas of being home. I didn't participate last year and I recall that year being one of the sh*ttiest years I've had in a while because it was boring.

 

And I'm not going to lie, I don't want a job right now. I initially wanted one after I graduated from high school but now I feel like I should just get one next summer.

 

I understand I could get a job and just buy my own stuff and save up to do what I want but I feel I still have a right to be pissed off by the way my parents handle their money. Last night I found out my mother had like $6000 in Macy's credit card debt. How? From buying a lot of sh*t that she doesn't even wear half of the time. And then there are days where my mom complains about how she has no cash but the next day she'll come home with almost $60 worth of stuff she got from the mall. And after that day she'll claim she has no money again. And her shop (she's a hair stylist and rents out a room that costs $200+ a week, that's almost an f'ing house!) gets almost no business. Her expenses pretty much exceed her income and she has to borrow some of dad's money to pay her rent. That wasn't really a problem before my dad found out he'd be missing out on $1440 a month because he's finished his classes and graduated. To be honest the problem isn't really with my dad, it's with my mom. I love her to death but damn she needs to get her priorities straight.

Its too late. You lied about your birth date on GTA forums, you can't go back and pretend to be 16 now as an excuse for not having a job and being a free loader. You are 24 and unemployed / living with your parents as far as i'm concerned.

Then you should get a job and help your folks out with their expenses. Pay the bills, put food on the table. They'll respect you for that a lot more than going onto a forum and complaining about their finances while you're hesitant to get a job.

But let's get back to real life here man. If you want free time, you'll get it when it's available. You can still get a job now and still have plenty of free time to do things, even band. You just need to budget your time and yourself. Civilian life, I've worked full-time jobs with overtime and still had plenty of free time man. Sure, you can't go and party hard for 8hrs unless you party hard and go to work right after (been there done that) but you have plenty of time to have fun inbetween man.

 

Legal hours for work here in the US or atleast Georgia afaik is 14hrs of continuous work but for someone your age, you prob won't see that being construction and other trade jobs are out the question for you but any more than 14hrs is considered illegal. So there's 24hrs in a day, if you take 2hrs after work for free time that still leaves you 8hrs to have a bit of free time unless you're not an 8hr sleeper, then that leaves you a bit more time for free time.. sure it isn't an all day thing but trust me.. it's long enough to do something you may enjoy.. let's say forum, game or some sort of hobby. You post here quite a bit, so I don't see how you can say you won't have any free time and you're too busy.. seems to me you have plenty of time man. Just get a job bro, you'll make it work.

I always put in random birth dates because I don't usually care to reveal my real age unless I'm in situations like the above. I don't see what the big deal is.

You're always complaining about the short-comings of your parents, no money, y'all never do anything.. but you are an adult man.. if you got a job, not only would you have some spending money but you'd have money to pitch in with your family and have the funds to do things. He used to keep telling me, and my brother, exact same things when I was quite young and just doing nothing to contribute towards my family and, esp. my father who was the only person taking care of all our needs.

I remember two years ago my life was great, i got a menial job, assist night school and every weekend i go out, fast forward to 2014 , i flunked school, i got a sh*tty job and my social life is more dead than rock & roll, i think that routine got to me,every f*cking day the same old sh*t and repeat,repeat, REPEAT!!!

Now because i tried to act all responsable and sh*t , my life has been reduced to tell past funny stories in a internet forum because i lost all my "friends".

I just hate the way people expects you should live, i come to my house at night ALONE and i can't play with the ps3 ,can't go out to out ,can't exercise cause im too tired and feel like a wuss, can't get sh*tfaced cause i got to wake up early to go to work or get a work

I felt like the day needed more hours so stopped sleeping for 3 days in a row ,that ended bad ,i was jumpy all the time, really angry, and i stinked and looked like sh*t (they kick me out of a job because they thought i was on drugs) but then i realized that i needed less work and more play.
