You know, I've been thinking about this incident for a while. I wont say who, but I find this person to act very maturely at times, but be a total cry baby when someone insults him. It's odd how people are, I just keep laughing. I'm two or three years younger than him and he was offended by what I said to him.

another thing that has been bothering me is that none of my "forum friends" bother to PM me anymore. That's kinda sad.. I used to be good friends with like 5+ people. Haven't gotten a PM from them in like 3 months.

I have to agree on this.

Having an 'iron fist' to control the government means controlling the country in its entirety, as well as its people whether in different social classes. It's such a shame that many people are willing to fight against dictatorship despite the good outcomes it possesses.

They play the most annoying songs and they play them using recorders (some instrument I haven't touched in years lol) that sound so off key, so irritating. Its like Target keeps finding new ways to annoy you via commercials. One of them stupid commercials is playing AGAIN right now the second time this commercial break. Ugh! /rant

Not sure where best to put this, but I'm not making an entire topic just to draw myself attention.

 

 

I f*cked up. Some backstory: my life sucks. I just started school, and I'm not happy about it. My parents both work two jobs every day for not very much, and no matter what, we never get ahead. Something breaks, someone gets in trouble, someone writes us a bad check, the sh*t cloud above me is just growing. My grandfather was in the hospital for the last month and a half, and almost every minute I had free was spent helping him and my uncle out. We have no f*cking money. I no longer have a phone, because I can't pay for it. We no longer have television, because we can't pay for it. We are currently down a vehicle, because the electrical (which we have already blown $1000 on) is still f*cked up, and we can't pay for it. I myself work a bit to help my parents out. I haven't gotten anything from working in the last few months, because everything I make goes to my parents. This is how I have to live. Not a minute of peace, not a moment without drama.

 

Today, I f*cked up. I had a lapse in judgement when the lense popped out of my glasses. Minor, it seems, yes? Well, they we're f*cked from the day I got them, and instead of me thinking clearly and waiting for my parents to take them to get them fixed, I decided to super glue the lense back into the frame. Bad idea. I got glue on the lense, and now my glasses are f*cked. How does this connect to my past situation? After making this f*ckup, I suddenly came to realize how impossible it is for me to get them fixed, and how monumentally screwed I am. I just f*cked up the warranty by DIYing it, so it will be another couple hundred something to get them replaced. That same couple hundred something that we need to fix the car. That same couple hundred something that we need to pay late bills. That same couple hundred something that we just don't have.

 

I am 17, and I have a lot to live for. But the thing is, is it really worth it to dig through the next 5-6 years, helping my parents, working through college and paying off loans, continuing with all the drama, just to possibly break even sometime in the far far future? I simply don't see all this sh*t worth it. I don't see myself making it much longer living like this. All these thoughts crossed through my head when I f*cked up my glasses, and I just broke down and cried. None of you internet assholes tell me to get a real job, because I have tried. Questions such as family devotion, whether you have gotten detentions or suspensions or truancy in school (which I have NONE of any), ya know, things that an employer might actually find worth knowing, never seem to show up on job applications And don't tell me "if you have X hours to work, you have X hours to look for work, because I simply don't.

 

I see nothing good coming of the future. I look at the next day and just see it as another challenge I have to complete. But the thing is, what reward do I get for completing that challenge? What incentive do I get for moving on? I have yet to get anything in return for what I do, and nothing is worth it any more.

But your post about your glasses, I thought I should address.

The whole thing stressed me out, made me anxious, made me tired, made me sad. And I suppose that's what you've been feeling for a while.

You're going to turn 18 regardless of what you do, and 30, and 40. There will always be bills. If you are dedicated to staying with your family because it makes things better, then learn to value your familial relationships over power, food and reliable transport. If your family only serves in bringing each other down (due to the money issues, it happens with anybody), and you would like to see this change, then it's in your power to instill a different attitude in the household.

And then some people and some relationships are doomed. And you can always leave. But it would be wise to make sure that you did your best to make the best out of the situations you were given. Having money and not breaking your glasses and having the bills up to date really makes no difference in the big scheme of things. It's stressful as hell. And once that is resolved, there will be something else that is stressful as hell. Try to find a way improve the attitude of your family. I am in no way saying it will fix the money problems. But life is short and money is pretend, learn to love who you are with for the time you're allowed to breathe. Best of luck.

Oh man, I totally understand you! I can't watch TV until school is in session. Mostly because all of the commercials I see are all B2S ones. It's annoying and irritating.

I'm never using Chrome again. I was restarting my computer because we got a new router and Firefox restarted and then restored all of my tabs fine. But Chrome didn't. 20 f*cking tabs gone and the stupid ass browser doesn't allow you to recover history over 3 months old so none of my tabs can be recovered. I guess I should just stick to Firefox like I did a year ago.

Social Anxiety sucks. I have it real bad, I can't socialize for sh*t. I'm always called "the quiet kid" in my class, and I don't really have a problem with it, only with the people who think I'm really weird for it. I always feel weird walking, talking, and doing physical work. I'm afraid I'll be judged for one little thing, because I have been before. I forgot how to make friends, since I haven't really made any friends since I was in 5th grade, and I've been slowly losing friends since. I'm down to one or two close friends. It's the main reason I hate going to school so much. And then the ignorance in my class is terrible. I was in World Studies today, and on Fridays we discuss current events. Only two people, not including myself, knew about the situation in Syria. I can't stand this generation, all they care about is social media and "swag". They're all try hards in sports, they push you around for not being athletic, and then whine about it when they lose. And it's been only four days since school started, this is going to be a long year.

Much of what you said sounded like my story. Funny thing is that social anxiety doesn't bother you until you realize that you have it. When I was in school people called me the " quiet kid " too. I just didn't like talking to people and when I was doing my work I really didn't have time to be bothered by others.I also felt the same way about many of the people I went to school with. Well, that minus the social media thing. Good Luck, anyway. Try doing what I did and just stand next to some random people that you want to make friends with. Eventually they will notice that weird guy who keeps eavesdropping on them and will say something to you. When that happens just make up an excuse and try to talk to them about something that you heard them say that interests you.
