I'm grumpy as hell for the reason that it's Christmas tomorrow, and I've got a fricken cold. mad.gif Well it's not just me who's got this cold, everyone else in the family has one too.

I hate to break it to those who are "new". Corporate music is dead. Not dead as in it won't sell. Dead as in it has no soul. It died around 1997. There has been some good music from them since then. But for the most part they have run the gamut on what they can produce without going retro. When was the last Nirvana type band or group you can think of that revolutionized the industry? Lady Gaga? Justin Bieber? I rest my case.

Death Grips.

I enjoyed Death Grips a lot, but it really wasn't all that revolutionary, it just seems striking because of the personnel and style. They won't be remembered in a few years, and if they will, it'll be as one of Zach Hill's side projects.

So I'm full of a cold on Christmas Eve. The whole house is actually, apart from my brother, and I have work tonight when everyone else is gallivanting to the pub. Always the bridesmaid...

Maybe not revolutionary, but you can't deny that it is one of the most refreshing and original hip hop groups to emerge in a while now. They've only got one Mixtape out as of now. It might still be a little too early to properly judge them and predict the future.

Anyway, IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES

Dubstep, I'm sorry but how can it be music its just noise and I get better noises coming from my arse.

But seriously what is music coming to?

I despise dubstep too, but I also respect it. Because it's new

Since when was dubstep 'new'? In terms of commercialism, then yes, but it's been around for many years now.

I remember summers colder than this.

My dad went to London for two weeks in 1983 and it rained 9 out of 14 days he was there.

It's been around for a long time but it's only recently started to get alot more popular and more commercial. So it's still fairly new to the scene compared to other genres.

If someone takes pride in something and then is bested, suddenly they don't take it as seriously because they have better things to do with their lives than to do whatever it is they were outdone in.

Goes for video games, music, trivia, cars, any talent you name it. If you're better than someone they suck, if they're better than you, then they are a loser for practicing so much.

f*ck that.

I hate scene kids. They have sh*tty "hardcore" bands, that are a disgrace to real hardcore bands. Bands like Black Veil Brides, Brokencyde, Blood On The Dance Floor and god knows who else, are really f*cking over the alternative music scene. Their fans are son f*cking annoying too. They always claim the band they like "Saved their lives", while most of those bands only sing sh*tty love songs....

Excuse me, but could you at least have some sort of a legitimate argument to cover your accusations? How are scene kids and the "sh*tty" bands they support a disgrace to "real hardcore bands"?

Matter of fact, how do you define a "real" band? A bunch of musicians that happened to be born a few decades earlier than the current artists in the scene, musicians that teamed up and arose to the public to form a new genre? Well, perhaps that can be viewed as a correct definition, to some point, yes, but then again, what do you expect to happen, that these "real" bands that you adore have immortal members who'll just continue playing 'till the end of the world?

Well, with a bit of common sense you're able to figure out that that's not going to happen, but instead, children will grow up to the scene and form new bands, and as you may have realized, generation Y is captivated to try new things and advance our cultures, and by that, our music.

Music, just like every other art, develops and is regenerated by it's makers and changes as time passes by, and all you can do is accept that.

If a scene kid, a hipster, an emo kid or a homeboy annoys you, my friend, you are doomed, because cultures evolve, music evolves and the people around the music evolve. No matter how conservatist you are, you can't stop the movement and all you can do is accept that things change.

The real problem with today's music is that people always want it to be yesterday's music.

Charity Shops

Charity shops; unsurprisingly I have one or two issues. Volunteer work is still work, it’s not a bloody coffee morning. Serve the customer rather than debate with your friend (I really can’t bring myself to use the word Co-worker to describe the person) about the benefits of sugar in your tea.

Point Two is a simple one. Learn to f*cking read (The Dyslexic Charities get a bye on this one, although considering what the condition is you could have made Dyslexia easier to spell) If the price sticker says £1.10 charge me £1.10, don’t charge me £1.50. It says £1.10, if you want to charge £1.50 price it at that price. It’s still cheaper than buying the book new and I would pay it. I do have an issue with someone, rather than apologising, shrugging as if to say what can you do and expecting me to let the 40p go as it’s for charity. IT’S NOT A f*ckING DONATION, IT’S A f*ckING TRANSACTION. As for fixing the problem I find it impossible to believe it was the first time Bertha and Vera have f*cked up the bloody till so why did it take Jabba the Hutt’s big sister ten minutes to lumber into view and attempt to correct the price on the till?

I just wanted a cheap book. I don’t give a f*ck about an extra blanket for old people, Seriously if Vera and Bertha are cold and blue this Christmas I’m quite happy to chip in for a can of petrol and a match....

Help the aged or age concern or blue veined Blubber Gilfs or whatever old peoples charities call themselves this week (the amount charities spend on rebranding is a bloody disgrace) have a problem. It’s the only charity whose reason for fund raising is front and centre.

PDSA don’t have dogs serving, Oxfam don’t have fly infested skinny people behind the counter and the donkey sanctuary don’t have... well you see where I am going with this. Although I would back Pedro the Donkey who doesn’t understand a word of English to be better at customer service than Jabba and the gang. (I can’t believe I managed to do that and not mention beaten wife charities or retarded people. I must be maturing. Although a tie up between a battered wives charity and boots could be the future... let’s be honest, no one wants to see the bruises, a little bit of make-up and no one needs to know.. .and next time just do the washing up, it’s not that difficult is it? There you go, an easy fix for domestic violence)

Old people are Age Concern’s biggest problem. While Jabba’s fat fingers tried to press a single button rather than five at a time I had to listen to Vera and Berthas racist chit chat with their window cleaner (If there is a difference between a BNP supporting taxi driver and your average british window cleaner I have yet to see it). Vera and Bertha nodded wisely and in enthusiastic support has he gave his views on ‘illegal immigrants from Poland coming over here taking his work’ and my favourite comment ‘We didn’t fight a war against them so they could take our jobs’. I’m pretty sure Freedom for Poland was exactly the reason we went to war for rather than against them but I remembered what my girlfriend said about counting to ten and stayed calm. Then Vera decided that the poles were alright compared with others. Then she turned to me and said ‘I know I shouldn’t say it But I am right aren’t I?” I was still gobsmacked by the racist comment especially as her manager stood beside her. I was actually stunned into silence for a long moment. Finally common sense prevailed and I pointed out that she should know better and if my money was going to be invested in keeping people like her alive I’d rather keep it and I left the store.

I would have explained to the window cleaner that his business would be improved if he actually cleaned some bloody windows rather than bitch about others but he was a big bloke and had a club in his hand... well a big piece of wood, actually two bits of wood held together by several smaller bits of wood placed at regular intervals about a foot apart...Fine it was a ladder but it could have been used as a weapon. I’ve seen WWF ladder matches especially with that tag team of Pandas, they are vicious...

Anyway in summary... AGE CONCERN are c*nts

PS, the blank looks I got when I asked about their complaints procedure would suggest there is some work to be done there too.

They have sh*tty "hardcore" bands

I really want to say something about this, considering this is something I JUST noticed..

Now what is the definition of "hardcore" to you? Heavy riffs, screaming, breakdowns? Or is it a progressive sound combined with lyrics containing something about the logic of politics, or war? You see this is what's wrong with people like you. You're too caught up with labeling and all that other crap. Some people find Asking Alexandria Hardcore, and some people find Fugazi hardcore. They both have totally different sounds.

What I'm trying to say is that "hardcore" is defined by the listener. You may not find "sh*tty hardcore bands" hardcore, but some people do. It's how they look at these bands. If you can't accept it, f*ck off and ignore it.

The real problem with today's music is that people always want it to be yesterday's music.

You're a dick. I do like bands from today, a lot of bands from today. It's just a group of a few that really annoys me. Not to mention, a few of these bands are just plain ripping from old bands. And autotune and meaningless lyrics about getting drunk.... Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the reason I listen to hardcore is to get a way from that sh*t... My biggest grip with these bands, is that they are also completely revolved around looks. Black Veil Brides would still be struggling to make it out of their town, if they didn't look like transvestites that make 13 year old girls cream themselves with their lesbian pleasures....

Plus, if you've been to a show of a hardcore or pop-punk band in the past few years, you'll definitely have a gripe with sceneys. All they do is stand there with their phones and get sh*tty if you accidentally bump into them (There's hundreds of people in the room, it's going to happen). I mean, if I go to a show, I want to be able to have fun, and having people their texting on their phones is really annoying.

Also, in my opinion, a real band plays music they love, because they want to express themselves. Not some fame obsessed idiot who just wants to grovel as much money as he can...

Finn 7 five 11

Pretty sick of people stereotyping music actually, i hate it when people say "Rap is just a bunch of swearing" or "dubstep is just a bunch of noise" i don't like dubstep, but to me saying that speaks pure ignorance, any combination of sounds can be called a bunch of noise, any music can be called that by anyone i could say billie jean by michael jackson is a bunch of noise, which it is, but if my intent was to insult the song/genre again that is just ignorant.

Also i f*cking hate campers on First person shooters, seriously, sitting in a corner for 20minutes aimed in, how f*cking boring can it get? seriously how is that even fun?
