torchwood3 Posted December 28, 2006 Share Posted December 28, 2006 hello, well i have san andreas for the pc, and yesterday i came to play the game, it dint work.. so i uninstalled and reinstalled... and now it just wont work.. press it and erm ..... .. nothing happens... i changed nothing at all, the cd is in the cd works... just i dunno.. it broke on me.. :S any help would e great Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Justin Posted December 28, 2006 Share Posted December 28, 2006 Delete the SET file - My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\gta_sa.set, and close anything that doesn't have to be running (e.g. anti-virus). torchwood3 Posted January 1, 2007 Author Share Posted January 1, 2007 (edited) well i tried that.. but re installed it, and still nothing.. is there something wrong with the files the cd.. as my lil bro does play round with the files on the cd.... think he was playing around with the startup.ini and them files that open woth notepad.. all of em on the cd... ignorance_supreme Posted January 3, 2007 Share Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) well as long as you know that re-installing it does not delete the .set file.... otherwise.... go and delete it, it will erase all your settings btw... this was my problem and that fixed it... it seemed to happen because i had it set for a joypad as a controller, however at the moment the joypad isnt connected and also, he cant change the files on the cd/dvd because they are read only, so unless he re-burned the entire cd/dvd, theres nothing wrong with those files Edited January 3, 2007 by ignorance_supreme Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
