get into san fierro airport

there is a tunnel just north of the san fierro airport with a orange tint to it (kind of on an incline) if you go to the top of this tunnel with a fast car and drive all the way down and jump, you can get into the airport.

That's my favourite way of getting in there, because you can even get some money from stunts xD

You don't need a fast car at all, look in the map for the point where the mountain and the airport are the most close together, it's outside the tunnel (both of them). You can even jump with a bike, if you sprint and then jump.

Yeah you can get in through that tunnel jump and then exit the airport with another jump over to the easter basin docks.

yeah i jumped over it with a semi truck and a trailer attached lol, it is easier to just jump over the fence but this is more fun and like saget said you even get money from it

Thats pretty groovy.

Can you still fly planes if you haven't got the pilot's license?

What I mean is, are they always locked?

Yes Graugboy, this is my favorite jump in general! In fact you can pull some cool tricks off the Hangers too... By far the most interesting non movie jump and useful too with the Maverick right there when you land. Thanx for mentioning it again because many have not discovered this GTA SA Wonder.

Go back to the Los Santos airport and jump the guard house.

You can steal the Dodo or Shemel.

Fly either for about half an hour (realtime) and you will get a Pilot's License.

That will allow you into any airport.

You will Still be required to do the Pilot School later in the game for more training.

Lies! You may fly but on the ps2 your pilot skill doesn't increase until you go to pilot school! At least on the first version and I really have no idea about the other versions at this time but can and will find out. Does anyone have an XBox and PC version to comment on? Pilot School first or not for the pilots license and pilot skill improvement?

OH, yeah, sure you can steal a dodo and fly it around and even go and get the rocket laucher on top of the building just to the west of Glen Park with the big antenna on it that way. The Maverick is one of the few things unlocked in San Feirro that can be gotten similar way as listed in the first post of this thread. I am just giving you a hard time because I really wanted to get my pilot license early in November 2004 but it didn't matter ....I still had to wait until Verdant Meadows to recieve it....I suggest using the Maverick to get the Snap Shots though because it makes it much easier than the other ways I have tried.

dozingoff.gif well umm... back on the topic, there is also a unique jump to get into the san fierro airport,it is right across the brige from the easter bay chemicals, it kinda looks like a little mound of earth.

On PC v1 you can get the pilot license early, but the San Fierro planes stay locked until Learning To Fly is complete.

Same as in PS2 v1 as what Graugboy mentioned. Flying around until your skill raises to a certain percentage can give you the pilot license to access the airports and unlock the aircrafts in all the airports. However, there were some confirmed reports that by doing so can mess up the SF mission "Mike Toreno" for some reasons, so getting the pilot license before |"Learning To Fly" isn't really advised.

As for the original subject of this topic, you can access the SF airport a lot easier without having to pass through any route, no jumping on the guard house or do any flying stunts to get in. Just let CJ's body rub the left part of the gate back and forth, when you hear the metallic sound, the gate would just open for you.

In my first game I had over 53 hrs of flight time before I "went" to SF and none of my airports were opened... ??? WTF? In both dodo and Mavericks too! I feel robbed! That's it No Aircraft but mine anymore without contra behaviour in my GTA SA!

You must not have flew long enough to attain enough flying skills to get a pilot's license. Is your flight time real hours or game hours which is only equivalent to about 53 mins? Not sure how many hours of flight time in real hours can give you the license, but the flying around trick can really give you the license long before the flying school opens.

And as far as I can remember too, once fliying school opens, you can only do the first three lessons (Take Off, Landing & Circlr Airstrip) to get a pilot's license. This will give you access to the airports and the unlocked aircrafts, but of course you still can't progress through the story if you don't complete the entire "Leartning To Fly" mission.

Naw...I had no problem completing Learning to Fly or even getting the licence but the 53 hours were real hours...I mean serious game time and I improved well enough to get all Gold in the LtF in about 30 minutes real time but I couldn't enter the airports regularly until after I recieved the licence during that mission. Anyway this is my 5th time through and I really hope the next go round I prove everyone right cus I tire of jumping fences although the only way to enter SF is the tunnel jump in my book!
