GTAThomas
I'm sorry if this does not belong here as half of it is computer related. I've had this game for about a week now. My main problem is lag when I move the mouse. FRAPS says I get about 50 FPS all the time - but the game lags when I move the mouse around. Lowering the resolution helped a little bit. It sitll has "Mouse Lag" when on the lowest, but not as severe. My monitor should be playing it around 1680x1050, but the game also does not support widescreen (???). On to the questions. Does anybody know ANYWAY to fix the mouselag? I have all the drivers for the mouse up to date, also. How about widescreen for my monitors native resolution (1680x1050). Is that possible in any way? Maybe through .INI change? - Fixed Computer Specs: •AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.4GHz, rated at 3.4GHz) •nVIDIA GeForce 7900GT 256MB •1GB Ram •Logitech Wireless mouse/keyboard Note- Even before with a wired mouse the game has the lag. I should have mentioned that I play Splinter Cell: Double Agent on this exact computer with 60 FPS and zero mouse lag. Both games use about the same technology (SM3.0 and Unreal 3 Engine). My last question is what's the difference between Shader Model 1.1 and 2/3? I understand SM3.0 does not support Anti-Aliasing at the moment..? Thanks for helping/reading my problems. I just loooooove this game. EDIT- I also forgot to mention I tried messing with every setting and testing, then updating the game and still no mouse lag fix. The only way to describe it is - weird. fox09
Well, Vegas does have this weird motion-blurring thing whenever you move the mouse around. So that could be your "mouse lag"? I dunno, could be. I'm pretty sure you can turn off the motion blur in options. Sorry I can't help more.
GTAThomas
Nah. Motion blur isn't the problem because I keep that off because it hurts my eyes anyways. I've been reading around and it seems this is just a really bad port of the 360 version. There are also barely any visual settings to change, just shadows, motion blur and a few other useless ones. Good news is that I found a widescreen hack. Here's the link if anybody else reading this topic has this problem: R6V Widescreen Hack EDIT- I just tested the widescreen and it worked pretty good. The only problem was when you start a game, the screen fades from black. So in the center there's a black square and 2 rectangles on the sides where you can see the game already. No biggie. All these performance issues and such just keep reminding me why I started to hate PC gaming. I think I'm going to get a 360 soon.
