Starion
Hi. Ive got an xbox 360 for christmas and so did my dad, he got dead rising with his and ive been playing it a lot today and all I can say is wow. I havnt had so much fun in a game that wasnt gta ever, just the way that you can pick up almost anything and attack a zombiw with it is umbelievible. And its astonishing how many zombie there can be onscreen at a time, you can just walk out the door nack into the main plaza of the mall to see kilirally thousands of zombies roaming around, and i cant get enough of hoovering them up with the lawnmower thats outside... So what do you think of one of the most anticipated next gen zombie games of the year? mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

TheDude5000
A lot of people will probably disagree, but I thought it was a huge dissapointment. The save system is just broken, and the difficulty balance is off. This could have been a wonderful game, with all the big things they did right. The problem is, they got all the small things wrong. Yeah, I agree. Not to say I hated the game, but there were many annoying aspects that kept me from buying after I rented it and completed it. The main reasons why I hated it was the bad AI, stupid and cheesy bosses, and the crappy story and depth. I do like Dead Rising, though. It's very original as far as games go, and it was enjoyable the first time I played through it. The photography aspect was the most enjoyable for me. While playing other games like Saints Row and Viva Pinata I've caught myself at times trying to find the button that brings up the camera so I can take a pic. GTA3Freak-2001
I think it was the best but most frustrating game I've played, its almost so frustrating that it kinda ruins the great features of the game. the root of the problem is the save system. If you've played it you know what I mean, it adds too much of a challenge to the game. Its great though, pushing your way through hundreds of zombies is captured excellently. Then there's the ability to pick up anything and use it as a weapon resulting in some comical moments.
AlianAnt
I never returned a game so fast to Gamefly. I suppose it could have been great, but only if the text wasn't extreamly small. And when you're not on HD, you can't read it. It all blurs together. Now, if there wasn't so many things told to you in text, it could have been ok. But as it stands....nay. However, I do have VGA cables for my monitor now, and I suppose I'll rent it again. Metal up your ass!

However, I do have VGA cables for my monitor now, and I suppose I'll rent it again. Yeah, I forgot to mention that. I really wanted to understand the story, know all these whacky characters, but with no HDTV, I can't do that. Capcoms pompous remark was something along the lines of "gamers should have HDTV's". Ok, maybe I just won't ever play your game again. Voice acting would have been great. And I think GTA Freak nailed it on the head. If the game weren't so frustrating, the really good features would stand out a lot better. I still am interested in the whole zombie invasion vibe, which they nailed almost perfectly. Let's hope they actually have the gameplay to back that up in the sequel.
vint_cool
the game looks good, but im stuck at that intial level of backup for brad, which gives a boss fight against carlito, no matter what, im unable to get past it, and its really frustrating, so I've quite left playing it...! Offtopic: Any pointers on the above is highly appreciated !
