Skyline_Mad
Every now and then i come across a random file in a folder that has blue text, all the other files in the same folder have black text, after a while i return and its back to normal, but i aint got a clue to wat it means, is it infected with some sort of virus? Its something i've had a few times on my pc, and at college, i asked my college teacher but he didn't have a clue wat it was. anyone know wat it is? edit: my system is Windows XP pro SP2, and was the same at college. Svip
Hey svivip, how bad is the performance decrease when you compress folders? A. my nickname is Svip. B. depends on what you mean B.1. while compressing: You will see a lot of harddrive activity during the progress of compressing, and not only that, the CPU will also be used a lot. B.2. after compressing: Well, to use files they must be uncompressed, this will required some CPU time, and thus slow performance, but remember, only compress stuff you use rarely, so you can bare it. I hope that should answer your question.
