You must connect your PSP to the computer and just put the HEN-D folder in ms0:/PSP/PHOTOS. Then you must download Devhook 0.51 for 2.71. Follow the Readme.txt included to install DevHook. You need to get a bigger mem stick pro duo in order to make a 3.01 dump yourself. Just download a 3.01 Update Eboot and put it in ms0:/PSP/Games/Update and run the 3.01 Firmware Installer for Devhook. To do this, you need o first run DEvhook to emulate FW1.5. You can find a FW1.5 dump at http://www.psp-hacks.com/ After you have DL'ed the FW1.5 dump, copy the folder 150 to ms0:/dh. Then, load up your PSP and open the image HEN-D. The screen will flash green, then blue, then it will restart. Don't panic, After it has resarted, start Devhook. Select this option: Firmware--->1.50 Then, press "START". The screen will go black, then you will be in FW1.50, VOILA! Now, start the 3.01 Firmware Installer for Devhook. Follow the on-screen instructions. When you have finished, you will have the 3.01 Dump on your mem stick. connect your PSP to the computer and move it to ms0:/dh/301. Then load up Hen-D again and start Devhook again. This time, instead of Firmware--->1.50 , choose Firmware--->3.01 Then, when you're on emulated 3.01, you can load VCS up and play!!! In case you don't know what ms0:/ means, it means the root directory of your Mem Stick. On the PC, it will appear as a removable drive or a Storage Space. Need more help? PM me or Email me. Toni Antonio Cipriani
How much more memory do I need? Also were do I find all of this? ie. sites Also up to what firmware can devhook handle? You will need a 256MB card I think. You can find all these things at http://www.psp-hacks.com. Devhook can emulate up to 3.02 for now, but for VCS you'll just need 2.81. Devhook runs only on Firmwares 2.71 and Below. DO NOT UPGRADE TO 2.80 OR HIGHER FIRMWARES OR YOU WILL BE KILLING HOMEBREW ON YOUR PSP!
Swikity
Just go here to downgrade. --Installing DevHook (So you can play your game on a 1.5 PSP)-- Requirements * A USB Cable or other means to transfer files to the PSP * These downloads: o WinRAR o DevHook .51 o 3.01 Update Eboot OR 3.02 Update Eboot (JP) o DH .51 3.02 Menu (only if you're installing 3.02) o 3.01 Devhook Firmware Installer OR 3.02 Devhook Firmware Installer (choose the one that corresponds to the update you downloaded) Installation 1. Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable. 2. Copy the 3.01/3.02 Eboot to the root of your memory stick. Make sure it is named EBOOT.PBP (If you used the QJ one from this guide it needs to be re-named.) 3. Open DH0510000.rar, double click DH0510000, double click MS_ROOT. Extract all of the files to the root of your memory stick. When prompted, click "Yes to all". Note: If you have custom firmware, and you 1.50 kernel homebrew folder is GAME150, you'll have to move the devhook launcher from the GAME folder to the GAME150 folder. 4. If you're installing 3.02, open DH0510000-302_screen.rar. Open the folder DH0510000, open the folder MS_ROOT. Extract the contents to the root of your memory stick, saying yes to overwrite files. 5. Open the 301_DH-FW-INSTALLER.rar/DH FW 302 Installer .rar file. Open the 301_DH-FW-INSTALLER folder (3.01 installer only) 6. Copy the contents to X:\PSP\GAME (or the GAME150 folder if you have a custom firmware configured like that, read the CF readme for details 7. Exit USB mode. Navigate to the Game tab, and launch "3.01 DH FW Installer"/"3.02 DH FW Installer" 8. Press 'X' when prompted. Your PSP will restart when it's done. 9. Navigate to the Game tab, launch "DEVHOOK0.51 launcher BETA" 10. Scroll to Firmware, press 'O', and ensure that 3.01/3.02 is selected, and press 'O'. 11. If all goes well, your selected firmware should boot up! 12. To exit the emulated firmware, go to the home menu and press "HOME" again. Click on "Escape the devhook" to quit. My X and O buttons are swapped, how do I fix it? 1. Download this file: here 2. Connect your PSP to your PC using USB. 3. Navigate to X:\dh\[firmware installed]\f1\registry\ (where X is your PSP drive, and [firmware installed] is the firmware you have DH setup to use. 4. Open up dh05installer-reg.zip. 5. Extract all files to the registry folder, click yes to all when prompted 6. You should be good to go Hope this helped! Credits to qj.net
