Lost-Fender Posted December 25, 2006 Share Posted December 25, 2006 I'm having some hard time with this f*cking game, it won't install or it won't install well. OK, it seems that my cousin decided to give me for Christmas Need for Speed Carbon. But I tried to install it first, and I couldn't install it from the disc. The installation got stuck because the disc got stuck as well. So I had to extract each and every single file from the disc to the computer (and I had to give the disc "a break" because it got stuck from time to time). I finally got all the disc's files in my computer. Then I came and tried to install the damn game. It went fine until when the installation is actually extracting the files. It finished at 50% or so, and said it was finished. Then I tried to launch the game - and asked me to insert the DVD. Guess what? It said the files it needed weren't in the disc! But I had to replace the launcher with another launcher which came inside the disc somewhere. I tried to launch yet again, and then it went black, just like a game should, but I got back to my desktop and said "Windows encountered a problem" and bla, bla, bla. You know, the error window that asks you to send an eror report and something like that. Now, I should ask the sellers to get me another copy. But here goes the big problem: my cousin told me the game is not original. And that he bought in another country. OK, so can someone help me? What do you guys think? Maybe there's a little solution to finally install the pirated game? I know it's not right, but c'mon, my cousin would be hurt if I don't play with his gift. So... any idea? Oh yeah... I didn't knew where to put this topic, if in Gaming Chat or in PC Chat or even in WD&P, but after all I thought it was about the installation.
