thepcdude
Well, matters. Is it a .dff and a .tga? Or is it a .img? You see the .dff is the model of the car, and the .tga the texture (the color, decals) The textures are usually packed in a .txd. What you need to do is put the files in the gta3.img file, where all the cars (and a little more) are stored. You could use a mod installer I think, but just search on google "txd workshop" and you'll have a program that opens the .img file, and the .txd file. So you should have a .txd, but if not, pack up the .tga's in a txd with the program. Then the sad part is, you have to replace a car that exists already. Theres a tricky tut in the Tutorial Section to add a car, not replace it, so check it out. So find a car, name the files exactly as the ones your replacing, and import them into the .img. If you have trouble look in the tutorial section or just try to find some mod installer.
YoFix
i can't really find a tutorial for txd workshop =\ I used the search but couldn't find. can anyone please send a link?
thepcdude
Oh my gosh, how can someone need a tutorial for txd workshop. You simple press "open .img file" And you should have all the dffs, txds, etc and you right click to "export", you'll have a copy of that one file wherever you extracted it to. If you're going to replace the dff, right click the dff you're replacing and click "replace" and select your new car file. The txd is another story. I am so far looking right know how i may change or pack up a txd. Oh, here we are. In the right side of txd workshop you have the txd functions, if you hold you're mouse over "import" itll say that itll replace the existing texture with another. So you select the txd, select the texture (if there are more than one), "import", and vwala. You'll need to use your common sense to skin the car, you better hope the car came with a texture. That way it'll be a breeze editing it. If not, you should get a tut of how to skin.

The mod might be crap, so many things could happen. The dummies positioned wrong, maybe more than the standard 4 wheels set up wrong, you might wanna try to look at the mod closely (if you're good at this stuff) and maybe you'll find it, I can't really help in a situation like this. 92F
Or it could be that your running V2.0 of the game.
supakilla9
well, you could just get vcm mods and get vcmm(vice city mod manager) and install the cars much easier. because if you use manual install ones, it's kinda complicated. so i would recommend vcmm if you need a tutorial on vcmm. its here. oh and when u get vcmm, first thing u want to do is install the dmagic wheel mod, or everything will crash(the dmagic wheel mod is provided for you). so yeah, vcmm is much easier than manual install mods
