jking
I wasnt a big fan of either of the soundtracks!
Vanilla Shake
Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't there another topic about pretty much the same thing? Anyways, I think that this soundtrack is better. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved the soundtrack for VC and I still do, but the soundtrack fo VCS just has a lot more catchy-tunes IMO. I just think they could have done a better job with Fresh 105 and VCPR..... TC718 / <629 / CF5
War-Lord
I am still loving V-Rock with Kiss and Dio involved. I am also liking how Lazlow gets made fun of in this alot..lol
88survivor
Just interested to hear what you all think of the VCS soundtrack in general...willing to hear more, you know.
GTA3Freak-2001
I think its almost as good, there are a few lesser known songs that some people may not know or like. But for an 80's freak like myself its great to hear them again, songs like "Don't Go" by Yazoo, "Wouldn't it be Good" by Nik Kershaw, and "Together in Electric Dreams" by Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder. 88survivor
Electric Dreams......that's a movie I can remember by heart. Such a light-hearted comedy and it's so damn enjoyable. "Private Life" is a great non hit song by The Pretenders. Their self-titled album is awesome from beginning to end. With the original members, it is pure gold. gamerzworld
I love them both! VC and VCS have the best sound tracks ever compiled for any game. Kiyone_Alien_Cop

Rashon.
I can't really compare them in general but I'll have to match them up station by station. I'd lean towards Vice City Stories' soundtrack, though.
gohan__14
I think Vice City Stories have the best soundtrack from all GTA games. The radio stations are perfect . DJ's done a great job.
88survivor
Looking good.....great! Hope to hear more from the peanut gallery, though...
Canoxa
I wasnt a big fan of either of the soundtracks! Blasphemy! Vice City, by far. Rockstar did a stand up job with VCS, but nothing beats ole Vice.
Gouveia
IDK what's better, but both rocked!
88survivor
I heard the soundtrack was praised more than the actual VCS gameplay itself.
Canoxa
I heard the soundtrack was praised more than the actual VCS gameplay itself. That's because there isn't anything better than Vice City's gameplay.
88survivor
But the soundtrack listing for VCS looks decent enough. I know most of those songs.
Ash_735
But the soundtrack listing for VCS looks decent enough. I know most of those songs. Hey, Since you're asking a lot about the VCS soundtrack, I have a thread on another forum where I have uploaded full stations in seperate parts (Currently in the process of uploading 8 full stations, just waiting for the links) but in the meantime head over Here to have a listen of the main ones. topdogkiller
I like them both equally. In VC they had songs that were so memorable. But VCS had those classic tunes you never get tired of hearing. We finally got some Phil collins and Genesis. We even got the NUGE, now if VCS had some police songs it would automatically win the best soundtrack in my mind.
88survivor
Ah, thanks again for the links. In VC, everything seem so listenable and enjoybable. I always use the songs in case I am doing the chores around the house. Even if it is Fever105 or Wave103, it is what I do when I am fixing around the house. Soundtrack shows promise...I am really liking Wave 103 and V Rock on VCS. Just for your information, that Sister Sledge song is remixed, not the original version 1979 Chic version. Fireman
No, VC was better, probably because I knew those songs =D And I played VC for way longer, might like VCS eventually to.
88survivor
And I believe most of those disco or dance songs are heavily remixed in the Paradise FM.
tuareg
The vcs soundtrack is catchy, but there where songs in the original vc wich the vcs soundtrack just cant beat. If they would mix the two, then it could come out as the best soundtrack for those who love the 80's (and im an 80's major). But note that there where songs in vcs that i had to download from the internet when i first heard them. They both rock Edit: "Wouldn't it be Good" by Nik Kershaw Man its happening again . I need that song!
88survivor
Another one did a remake of that song in 1986 with an artist by the name of Danny Hutton Hitters, which you do hear from the Pretty In Pink soundtrack. Interesting useless trivia. A bunch of great 80s tune from Pretty In Pink. Anymore from the gallery? I am all ears. Steffen_Michael_Rye
no, i think vc has better soundtrack..
88survivor
Really? By the way, nice to hear from you, Michael. Hope to hear more about you more on the soundtrack issues. This is getting good. I am willing to hear more from the people that have this game. Can't wait for more people to post here. I listen to Paradise FM and I say, why didn't Paradise FM included the likes of Boney M, Chic(a huge influence on the hip hop scene for the 80s), or Cerrone(he was the 70s Hendrix of early disco)?
