DavidGC
Shorside Vale, Liberty City, 2001 Cut scene: A plane is seen landing on the runway. Prologue – Cut scene A man wearing a trench coat and a classic fedora is seen walking through the airport with a suitcase. The camera follows him, and he exits out the front door, and flags down a taxi. Sounds of numbers being dialed on a cell phone can be heard, as the camera distantly follows the taxi. The ringing tone can be heard, as a person answers on the other end. Claude: Hello? Mark: Hey, uhh it’s me, Mark. I just got in the city here and I need some…work. Claude: Jesus Mark, have you seen the news reports? What the f*** were you thinking? We can’t be associating with you right now; it’s too damn risky. I’m sorry man, but we can’t be seen with you right now. Mark: Look Claude. Salvatore doesn’t know I’m in town. I can help you if you can help me. I came here to take back what’s rightfully mine. All these Yardies and Triads think they own Portland? Salvatore is too stupid to realize what’s going on around him. The smack is all that matters to him. He’s getting too old for this sh*t. I, er we, can take this town back. It’s a new era…it’s our time. Claude: Are you crazy? Take out Salvatore? Your out of your f***ing mind! He’s the most paranoid man in Liberty! There’s no way your getting within mile of that guy! Things have changed here Mark. Mark: I’ll get in tight with Luigi and Joey and then get close to Salvatore. It’s simple. Claude: That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. *sigh* Ugh. Look, I know a guy. He can get you close to Salvatore pretty quick. He’s one of his top guys. But if your screw up, you and him are both finite. Anyways, drop by my apartment. I gotta go. BEEP. The taxi is seen pulling into the warehouse hideout from GTA3. Mark gets out and the taxi pulls out. Mark knocks on the door and Claude, the GTA3 character, answers. Cut scene: Mark: Well you sure are living in luxury, aren’t you? Claude: Jesus, get your ass in here! Inside the warehouse there is another man, supposedly one of Salvatore’s top guys. Tony: Hey, I’m Tony Cipprini. Nice to meet ya, kid. Claude here, he tells me good things about you. Mark: Ya well Claude is a good guy. Tony: That he is. You want a drink? Mark: Nah man. Tony: Hey, what do you say we go visit the Don? He’s awaiting your arrival. Mark: Sounds nice. Are you coming Claude? Tony: Of course he is; after all, he’s one hell of a driver. Mark: I can only imagine. Cut scene fades with them all laughing. Cut scene: Shows all 3 of the guys getting into a Mafia Sential, inside the nearby garage. The camera fades as they drive away. Cut scene: Shows the car pulling into Salvatore’s beach house and parking in the lot. Tony: Just head in. He’s expecting you. Be and Claude here have some business to take care of. See you around eh? Mark exits the car and the car pulls away. A nearby guard escorts him into the beach house. Cut scene: Mark walks into Salvatore’s office. He sees Salvatore sitting down in his chair, facing away from him, on the phone. Damn it! I told you a million times! How many more f*ckng times do I need to tell you this sh*t Leo? *Pause* Yeah, well you tell HIM that Salvatore needs to see him. Your pushing it Leo, you really are. *Slight pause* “Goodbye” *Mark clearing his throat* *spins around in his chair* Camera zooms up on his face, and “Salvatore” appears. Ahh, just the man I’m looking for. I hear good things from Tony, you know? He’s a good guy. I have a little job for you. Yardie boys are meeting with the Triads again. These here meetings are becoming a little too frequent if you know what I mean. I’m hoping that you can wipe this sh*t up for me. James is outside; he’ll fill you in. You do this for me, and I’ll take care of you. Go on now. Ok Mr. Leone Mark promptly leaves. Cut scene: Shows Mark walking to a van from the house, meeting James on the way. They start talking beside a nearby van. Dialogue: (James:) This isn’t going to be easy. (The camera zooms up on his face, the name “James” appears.) I know it’s your first official day with the family, so Salvatore decided to give you a little “initiation”. Salvatore said there was a deal going down up on the L-Train platform in Chinatown. The Triads and Yardies are supposedly going to create an alliance and start making arms deals. If the Triads get bigger and better weapons, the Leone Family will lose a lot of influence and business. Salvatore gave the word to go and “mess up” the deal and nab whatever they were trading off. (Mark:)Lets do it then. Cut scene: They both get into a black Rumpo nearby and it starts up. Player: The player takes control of the van (Rumpo), parked near Salvatore’s beach house. Controls for driving appear in the upper left corner. The player cannot exit the vehicle. The player must drive to the Chinatown L-Train station and park in the yellow marker. Dialogue: (James:) All right, this is it. The deal will be going down any time now. Hey, Mark, you should get in position. I’ll cover you. Player: The player automatically gets out of the van. The controls for on foot (sprinting, moving ect.) appear in the upper left hand corner. The player must make their way up the steps to the side of the Bistro, next to a dumpster. The player must walk into the yellow marker. Controls for jumping appear in the upper left corner. The player must then jump on the dumpster and onto the roof. There, the player will have to walk to the marker next to an air duct. Cut scene: Shows Mark taking the grill off, and retrieving a sniper. Player: The player must walk to the side of the building. Instructions for aiming and firing appear in the upper left corner. The player must watch for the train. When it appears, 3 Triad members come out. 10 seconds or so later a Yardie Lobo pulls up and 2 Yardies get out. They go up the steps and meet up with the Triads. At this time, the player is given the message to shoot. If they shoot before the message comes up, the mission fails and it starts over. After all the members are down, a cut scene commences. Cut scene: Shows James and Mark walking over to the platform. An L-Train pulls up. Player: The player must retrieve the briefcases from both the Triads and Yardies. The player is then given instructions and information about the L-Train (upper left corner). A cut scene commences. Cut scene: (James:) Damn, that was intense sh*t there. Here’s your cut of the blood money. I best be on my way. Oh and Mark; take care of yourself eh? Don’t tell Salv about this, but here are the keys to a warehouse by the docks. There’s a few supplies down there for ya. And get some rest too; you look like sh*t. James gets on the L-Train, and it speeds off. Player: It then returns to the player, and the blip to the warehouse appears on the map. The player must make his/her way back to the van and drive off to the docks. Upon driving into the wide parking lot, a cut scene commences. Cut scene: 2 Yardie Lobos squeal out from around the corner. A Yardie starts shooting out the window, popping 1 tire of the player’s van. (Mark:) f*ck! I need a strap… Well, well, what’s this back here? An RPG? James; I love you. The player automatically exits the van, and instructions on firing a rocket launcher appear in the top right corner. Player: The player must blow up the 2 Yardie cars with the rocket launcher and walk over to the 1 remaining Yardie, next the flaming inferno. Directions for hand-to-hand combat appear. The player must “finish off” this last Yardie Fight Club style. Cut scene: (Mark:) Ha! You think you can f*ck with me? Huh? HUH? I’m Mark Venchezzi! You hear me you Yardie sh*t? Venchezzi! Mark spits on the downed Yardie, and he swiftly kicks him in the ribs. Edited December 23, 2006 by DavidGC
