Angus Scrimm Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 Something I miss in GTA-SA is the ability to easily change character models mid-game, just like the old 'I like dressing up' cheat codes used in Liberty and Vice City. A nice utility that can run in the background and allow you to choose any other the other character models in GTASA, on the fly, would be nice. I'm astounded that no-one has thought of the same idea yet...! Failing that, how easy is it to change the main.scm file so you can transmogrify yourself, using the change_player xxxx model_to xxx command? Don't worry about the fact that CJ's normal model is in fact dozens of separate for each body part and clothing item etc.... sod that... I know you can play using one of the simple ped models..... unless, of course, using those ped models causes the game to screw elsewhere.... such as in the clothes shops, wardrobes etc... oh and SA-MP offers all the models to the player with no probs! I've tried using Sanny Builder, and nope, nowt but crashes. (Even the simplest changes result in a crash everytime). Mind you... I only downloaded it 3 hours ago not exactly 'seasoned' with it yet! The nearest thing to this that actually exists is the Player Selection mods by AdTec_224... trouble with those is that almost the entire game's content is ripped away.... and everything's done for you from the start.... not much left for you to do for yourself..... Çãmþ裣 Posted January 7, 2007 Share Posted January 7, 2007 i agree! it would be a nice edition, but if they do make it possible they should disable tattoos and war drobes if ur a ped and enable when ur CJ again that way it wont crash frequently when u forget u can chage something. i tried replacing CJ with the swat model (knowing full well something spastic would happen) and wallah! when i played the game he looked like a mutated spider alien that rolls arund on his side with big lanky limbs. it didnt crash at all throughought the time i played with the alien spider but yeah didnt have the same feeling as a swat officer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
