Mr GTA Dude
Haven't played GTA in a while since my discs got scratched. I am planning to get a copy of SA after christmas for my PC but i think i remember reading somewhere that you can only use mods on certain versions of the game. is this true? if so is there any way of telling which version it is before buying/installing it Also is there something similar on VC PC version? lil weasel
As I understand it All currently available (New) issues of the Game have been sanitized (censored). Making it so that any Mods will not work. You would have to search for a ver. 1 issue of whatever platform you can find.
radioman
pretty much all new copies of san andreas that are sold today, are version 2, which is the "censored" version, you can still mod the game as long as you get downloads that are available for version2 of the game. GTA:Garage is one of the sites that has version 2 downloads. you can also download the version 1 scripts, but we can't link to the site on the forum, so you have to search google for that. The way to tell if it is version 1 or 2, though is: at the bottom of the package it will say first edition ro second edition. As far as Vice city goes, all the versions are modable. Hope this helps. I_Pfreely
Or you could possibly downgrade your game. And version 2 dosen't support San Andewas Multiplayer.
