Depending on its age, there bound to be some surface rust by try to make sure that the chassis is in fairly good shape. Jeeps end up being bitch mobiles in the winter time. When you go to check out the car, bring along somebody who is savvy with cars who can help you check it out and ensure everything is in working order. Turn the car on and let the engine warm up to operating temp. Check the smoke from the tail pipe. White means a coolant leak, dark means an oil leak. Avoid at all costs. Check all fluid levels and look for leaks in the hoses and ask for a service history. If you get the car, change all the fluids. Just do it. I am pretty car savvy myself but I will bring a friend just so I dont get to excited. New car jitters! YAY! I wnt ahead and bought it and I love it! thanks all who participated!
