TheHarvesteR
hello again i am working on my first GTA:SA project -a bike- and ive ran into a problem... the bike is currently replacing the freeway (since it resembles it most) but the model isnt exactly like it i figured that the game is animating my bike as if it were the freeway, and that leads to some problems for instance, the front forks on my bike are much more swept forward than the freeway´s, so the suspension animation is not aligned with my forks, which makes the suspension shaft sway up and down in relation to the forks so my question is... how can i edit the vehicle´s animations (or is it at all possible)? im working with 3dsMax using the latest of Kam´s I/O Scripts cheers HarvesteR
TheHarvesteR
oh one other thing i forgot i dont know if it might be related to the first issue mentioned above, but im having another strange problem with the bike although the bike is rideable, it seems like something is scraping the ground as i drive... i checked the collision model (imported same dff but using COL I/O script) and nothing is protruding below or even close to the wheel... actually the collision model im using is the freeway´s dff, so theoretically, it should work fine... (or not?) ive tried pretty much all i can think of... im gonna try rigging the bike for export all over again now... see what happens can anyone shed some light on this? cheers again... TheHarvesteR
ok a follow up... i redid the whole bike rigging for GTA (luckily i kept my unattached model) and the scraping problem simply went away... so yay one problem down... but i still need help with the animations... i poked around the vehicle ifp model (imported the dff using IFP I/O Script) found nothing... maybe this isnt the way to get to the vehicle animations... well if anyone feels like helping, please do
