REspawn
New version of G-IMG is up, version 0.1.2 is up. Pre-Beta version of G-CYC is also up. Check the first post for downloads and info, -Dave
SteaVor
G-CYC's timecycle works great, but it crashes if you are clicking the 'skip back' button at midnight. (it shows 0-1:00 PM, which isn't quite what the program expected) The exception thrown is 'IndexOutOfRange' (oh, really? ) at TimeCycle.TimeCycleControl.checkTime()

toooomas
When I open a menu in a G-Tool my mouse becomes "jerky". It does not run smoothly, but hacks. When the menu is closed again, the mouse moves smoothly again. It is very disturbing and annoying to move in menus. am pretty sure the problem is in my computer, but what would cause it? REspawn
@SteaVor Yea sorry, i dont really have time to work on that atm, its a pre beta so dont expect to much yet. @toooomas It depends on your system, graphics, themes, styles and all that kind of stuff. toooomas
I don't think it because my comp specs, 1,5 Gb RAM and 2500 GHz should be enough? The thing is, that no other program doesn't act this way. Only those three programs and only when cycling through menus, when some other window appears (like "About"), mouse slides again smoothly. Also should "About" window look like those: EDIT: forgot to end the sentence. Edited February 2, 2007 by toooomas
REspawn
Nope shouldnt look like that at all, you must have some sort theme installed or something thats effecting your windows. Those about screens are hardcoded at a certain size so its something on your end. I checked around and noone else has reported the same problem. Best thing you can do is turn windowsblinds or and apps like that you have running. Let me know i will try and be of a as much help as i can. Gforce
given that G-Tool's is going through a progressively constant upgrade program and is rapidly becoming the new tools set of choice may i suggest that somebody pin's this topic ? this way when noobs post with a tools recomendation question we can easily find this topic and direct them towards it. JostVice
I think you know what's the problem with the SA radar.. it looks like the SA radar is 2x big than the VC one. I used the same size as VC one and used G-Dar to add it. In the program the radar looks fine, but ingame: So that's mainly the problem of moved radar with myriad, etc. Bye

JKM
Hi guys, I've got a problem with the G-Dar. Not with the programm just with the radar. Our mod is creating a whole new map and now we want to add a new radar. So I rendered our map in the top view with an old SA radar in the background. So I know that the size of SA is from x=-3000 till x=3000 and y=-3000 till y=3000. After deleting the SA map in the background I loaded the image in G-Dar. Untill here everything works perfect to me. But if i'm looking up the radar in the game all coordinates are wrong. It doesn't fit to my exported map (with the same coordinates using the radar render) But if im looking up to the San Andreas map in the legend of the menue it seems to be the right place, because in 3ds max the backgorund of SA told me the same as in the legend. So this is really confusing me Can anyone help me?!? best regards JKM
dertyjerzian
Use Steve-M's Map Viewer to render the images at a size of 128x128 and then have at it. You can find it at steve-m.com, the readme teaches setup and script enabling for rending radar shots. Afterwards, just use paint and paint over it the sandy yellow, grassy greens, black assphault, grey lots, red train tracks, and white builings <
JKM
Nice idea. I tried it out but the mapviewer didn't work for me, because at a size of 128*128 pixel there are missing parts of my map. Don't know why, but with 256*256 pixels there is the same fact. Only with a size of 128*130 everyhing is working fine. But it's not important. I've created a bitmap (size is 1536²) and it's working 100%. So everything seems to fit. But if I'm loading the map image into g-dar it moves everything. It changes the proptery (scaling the x and y properties) and moves it down a bit. After exporting the map it didn't fit to my original one So theres a big bug and I hope that you REspawn will fix this early, because your tool is really great and it spends a lot of time. So don't keep it up! best regards JKM
REspawn
Cheers, yea im still working on the tools, but whats happening at the moment is that im translating all the tools to c++. Its till going to use DirectX. That combined with the real world and the 5 or so weeks of college I have left before exams has cause a bit of a slow down. So i will post here and on turnipfan.com when i have more to report. Thanks, -Dave

REspawn
As i said, i have both the net and direct x runtime. Kind of dissapointing really, looks like a handy program. Are you sure you have the managed dx installed, it doesn’t install with the normal dx, you would have had to download it specifically. I have to ask again because anyone whos had a problem running the tools either didn’t have the .net framework installed or the managed dx installed. Heres a link to the mdx from my site, give it a go, if its still not working post the details of your os. http://www.turnipfan.com/downloads/directx.rar On the plus side the new g-tools are written in c++ and use the normal dx so there wont be any need for the extra stuff.
