mindstorms
Hello, I try to edit people, but I can't find a program what could do that. Do you know something? Greetings, Thomas
Knowledge Novice
I have never used one myself, but there was one called mess_with_those_peds_v1.7. You should also try using the Search function. It is located to your left, under Forum Tools. You may have some success searching for Ped Manipulator or something similar. Good luck and welcom to the forums.
thepcdude
Be specific. Do you want to edit how they walk? That would be in the animating section, find some tuts in the tutorial section. Editing their body and how they look is pretty easy. The model and texture (clothes, accesories, etc) are in the gta3.img file. (same name in vice city too). The texture is a .txd file which is actually like a texture pack. It can have more than one. You extract it in TXD Workshop, a very good program for all you .img AND .txd needs. You extract, then edit in whatever pic editing prog you have, import it back (TXD Workshop will replace the one you select) then you can have a different texture on the person. The modeling is a little trickier, I use 3ds max so I'll say how I do it. I get Kam's scripts to import .dff s (thats the model), I edit it, then vwala. But if you edit the model, it's very likely you'll need to tweak the texture. You save the dff, pack the .txd. Then in txd workshop, open the .img you got it from, and right click the original (make sure it's the same name as the new ones!!) and click "replace", select your file, then do the same to the txd, and when you start your game up, the person should be how you edited it, if you followed my directions..
