Jay
I bought this the other week, and have been playing it on and off. I thought I would take some time out to write about what I have noticed about it so far. You can add or dispute anything you want. Similar weapon ammunition accumulation I am not sure if this was the case in other titles because I never really paid attention, but when you have a certain type of weapon, such as an uzi, and kill an enemy who has an uzi of a different kind, you are able to still run through it and take the ammunition without replacing your gun with something potentially less killeriffic. Character development Ma Cipriani, Salvatore Leone, Maria, Toni Cipriani, Donald Love and even Phil Cassidys characters are developed even further in this title. Car/bike dealership missions Borderline useless, but fun. Canon storyline relevancy to those familiar with the other games The destroying of Fort Staunton, Asuka Kasens feminist views are sourced, you find out how the Cartel came to be in Shoreside Vale, Diablos in Hepburn Heights and the Cartel in Fort Staunton. Those nice looking rims on the performance cars Just makes the Banshees, the Cheetahs, the Inferni, the Stingers and all the other cars with them look much more appealing. Motorbikes good fun. Ease of missions reflects the importance of the title to the GTA library you dont want to spend weeks toiling through challenging missions. You want an easy walk in the park discovering the events that happened before Claude and Catalina robbed the bank. Those oooh and aaah moments Phil saying I do so much business at these docks, I should have set up shop here instead of halfway into town, Donald Love and his cannibalism, specifically eating Avery Carrington, the Confessional missions, the acquisition of Sex Club 7, the development of tunnels, etc. Revitalisation of previously sparse and redundant areas Areas underutilized in GTA3 are used well in LCS. Places such as Phil Cassidys gunshop, many areas in Torrington and the industrial area near the hospital in Shoreside. Things that I didnt particularly like Black smoke comes out of nearly everything when you accelerate for anyone who has been playing these games for the last 5 years, black smoke = car is a few knocks away from exploding. When Im driving a Freeway at decent speed, the incomplete combustion causes a large cloud of black stuff to seep out the back. It takes ages to get used to. Some cars dont utilize the pressure sensitive controls of the PS2 I know this is a PSP port, but when you lightly apply the X button, most cars kick into top gear with a massive roar. I enjoy taking off slowly in some instances in other games, with a low murmur of the engine. Edited December 19, 2006 by Jayzamann

I'm a hundred percent sure it works on San Andreas, and I'm getting a feeling it has the same effect on Vice City, although I cannot state for sure. Glad you liked it Jay. Dudman
I noticed the ammunition thing aswell. It's probably because UZI's use the same 9mm ammo so that is probably why you can take ammo from a totally different UZI same with shotguns and pistols but the only thing that you can't do that with are assult rifles like the M16,M4,AK47,M60 and so on. I'm pretty sure thats why you can pick up ammo from simmilar guns.

Yeah, it does work in San Andreas and Vice City. All the SMGs have interchangeable ammo (Meaning they have the same kind of ammo) so if you kill someone with an SMG, just run through it and you'll get the bullets without picking it up unless you had the same gun as him. All assault rifles are too and only the Chromed and Sawn-Off Shotguns are interchangeable. If you pick up a Spaz Shotgun, you'll end up starting over but unlike LCS and Vice City, in San Andreas, all the shotguns are interchangeable. @dudman: The M60 isn't an assault rifle and the M16 was only in GTA3. Canoxa
The M60 is the minigun, that huge heavy weapon that fires hundreds of bullets in a few seconds.

The M60 is a giant rifle in which you get to use in a helicopter mission in Vice City (Phnom Penh '86).
Rashon.
I'm really a GTA weapon specialist. You can sprint with the M60 unlike the Minigun so that's one of the reasons I'd take the M60 any day. The M60 reloads after 100 shots which is five times less the Minigun and also you can jump with the M60 so IMO, it's the best weapon in GTA. XxDarkxPsychicxX
I thought this game was great and enjoyable, especially because you can cruise the streets of Portland without getting wasted by the Mafia. They also provide a map unlike GTAIII. It may not be better than other GTA games, but nevertheless it's a fine addition.
