killernago
Hi, I had that same problem too. Change the compatibility mode to Windows 2000/ME, it should work fine after that.
Justin
ALT + TAB out of the game, and then back in again. According to this topic in VC Troubleshooting, renaming the User Files folder, re-installing, and watching the opening movie fully seems to be a solution... It may well be applicable to SA as well. levbarg
I had the same problem which has been frustrating me for weeks. I searched the internet about a week ago and found the response that "Fuzzy Juzzy" refers to. On my rig (self built core2duo e6600, ATI x1900xtx 512mb, 2gb corsair ram, sound blaster audigy 4, logitech LX7 cordless optical) ALT+TAB caused the mouse button to work in the menus (temporarily), but in the game the camera did not respond to the mouse. I called Rockstar tech support and they told me that this problem happens when you have other input devices installed (cameras, ir ports, etc.) and the game gets confused and doesn't know which one to look at. I unplugged all external devices, restarted the game, and it worked... for about 3 minutes. When I shut down and tried playing later, the problem came back-- menus were unresponsive to mouse clicks and the game was unresponsive to clicks and movement. HOWEVER.... I found the solution, thanks to "Killernago"! Killernago's response is exactly what fixed my problem-- just go into properties of "play GTA San Andreas", click on "compatibility" tab, and select Windows 98 / Windows Me. Why Rockstar doesn't have this simple fix solution in their knowledge base, I'll never know. Thanks again Killernago... you ended weeks of frustration for me. P.S. I wonder if this is a compatibility issue exclusive to Logitech? Edited February 12, 2007 by levbarg
