Edmachine
I got 20LS (37$ I think). I am thinking of upgrading RAM. I have 4 slots, and in there are four 256MB cards. In total 1GB of memory. Windows ME can't even handle it . So, any suggestions to what to do? Crokey
With that anount of money, there isn't really anything you can do, I would suggest an upgrade to XP, but then again with Vista around the corner, it might be even better to wait and save up the money (or max out a Credit Card) and get a new machine. For the Record, I'm not surprse Windows ME can't handle it, it's very aptly named
GTAThomas
Don't you think 1GB is plenty? Windows ME isn't exactly the super computing OS that will require that much. My father's ME works find on it's 256MB.
Edmachine
I have XP . I had ME for a bit, then my dad upgraded the computer with 1GB of memory. And it didn't run. Now I have XP. And if I wanted to change OS, I would have done it some other way . 3niX
Well... A new mouse/keyboard, mousepad, speaker(s) of some sort, an extra ventilator, LEDs, headphones, PC games, PC cleansing kit... I find the possibilities quite endless... Except you cant buy any real hardware (decent CPU or memory). Ofcourse if it were up to me Id rather buy some candy and chocolate.
