thegloaming Posted December 18, 2006 Share Posted December 18, 2006 I read this on wikipedia "There are a number of bugs in the game, in which one of the most evident is when coming upon a empire site, most of the times at a high speed, the buildings model and high resolution textures do not load right away, allowing the player and any subsequent vehicles to go 'inside' the empire building, but eventually getting stuck after the meshes load. This glitch also leads to many reports of cars spawned inside of empire sites. It is possible to fix these glitches and others by downloading the newest Firmware Update from the Official Playstation Portable Website. Glitches such as the "Fast Radio" and "No Engine Sound" glitches have been reported to be resolved after updating the PSP Firmware." Basically, upgrading might fix no engine sounds etc according that... I'm at 2.81 (i think, either way i'm too high up now for homebrew) so i may try it. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get it? Sure 1. Go under 'Settings' in your XMB and click on 'Network Update' 2. If you have a USB connention download the firmware through the official PSP site or from any other source. 3. EDIT: It says its downloaded on my memory card. Do I install it now? EDIT 2: It's now installing version 3.02. What glitches will this version fix? You could just download DevHook and emulate firmware, as long as u have Firmware 1.5 on ur PSP ur all set the latest i think emulates 3.02 Devhook 0.51 but as far as im aware, this being a homebrew app, its illegal. Only because of what it can allow you to do such as run ISO's of illegally obtained games. And yeah since upgrading to 3.02 OE-B VCS has run a bit better for me.
