Bigun Posted December 18, 2006 Share Posted December 18, 2006 (edited) GXT names need to be surrounded in single quotes ('name') rather than double quotes ("name"). Also, if it still doesn't work, make sure you're using the right GXT table entry. EDIT: Also note of course, you don't have to include the GXT text in a comment - it's just for reference/readabillity. jarjar Posted December 18, 2006 Share Posted December 18, 2006 Looking through the already made textbox's in the games code you should have been able to work it out and work off one of them, example: 03E5: text_box 'FUDHLP2' ; When you eat, you gain energy but eat too much and you will become fat. So as you can see, as said by Bigun, the double quotes (") need to become single (') and all should be well. You also only need 1 ;, not two . Using your example, if you put this line 03E5: text_box "TTUTOR" ;; Here take this money. DONT buy drugs for them. before the list of 004F: create_thread then it will show up when you start a new game. i don't really know how to get it to come up in a thread tho... never got that far yet! ## Actually just testing that now, it only works if its originally in the GXT file... i added my own text, but it won't show using this method... it should tho cos it works with R*'s texts...
