Right Hand Drive

Is there any way to make a car right hand drive for VC or SA. I tried moving the vertex, but then when you tell him to enter the guy keeps runing into the car, so i tried to rename left door to right and vice versa, but he still won't get in and the doors are backwards. It must be a vertex thing, but i was never good at those. Any help? Thanks.

It's a flag in the handling.cfg/default.ide, I'm not sure, you are better off asking STM about it (He did alot of right hand cars wink.gif)

Examine your models, that's the best way. Open an existing model and look where the dummies are, if there are any pivot points, check the hierarchy, etc. You should get there. And maybe ask that guy that that guy said to ask. lol.gif , that was a strange sentence biggrin.gif

HokusaiXL's Nissan Trueno had the driver sitting in the right side. It works fine except that the animations are a bit muddled when you enter leave the car, because the dummies are positioned in a different way.

STM did write a tutorial on making a car RHD once, but I can't find it on here or his site, you can try PM'ing him to see if he's still got it lurking about somewhere.

I think you mean moving the dummy, not the vertex. A vertex is a part of a mesh, a point on an edge, a dummy marks a position of something.

I've never tried to get it to work good before, but I have switch the side the ped_frontseat is on inside the model. They are always on the right side of the model, so put it on the left.

I have heard that people edit the seat offset in the handling, but I wouldn't know how you need to do it. Go to projectcerbera.com and look at his handling definitions in the Tutorials part of his site to see what I'm talking about.

Is it so hard to make a link to the GTASA handling tutorial? And the GTAVC handling tutorial only differs by 2 bytes in the URL and 2 bytes in the text. You lazy bastard, Picolini! tounge.gif

The SeatOffset parameter is the one I heard STM, _Rich_ and some other car makers have used. It's always produced slightly ropey effects with the enter/exit animations in my experience, but someone might have perfected it on a model I haven't seen.
