92F
WTF are you doing giving this topic a FIFTEEN MINUTE BUMP... The folder is located in the game folder. Try my computer>C:>program files>GTA VC, then look for a skins folder or something similar. In future, simmer the f*ck down and give it a day or two for a reply. 92F
Ive already said, I dont understand where your or how your going wrong here. Right, start by clicking on the start button on the bottom left of your screen. Then go my computer>(C:)>Program files>rockstar games>GTA vice city Then from there look for a skin folder, which should be in a folder called model(s). I dont have any GTA game installed at the moment so I cant tell you exactly after reaching the vice city folder.

92F
I think you should come back once you manage to grasp the english language a bit better. Not once have I insulted him, you yes. And I'll keep on doing it. You also need to get a bit of time in before you start calling others noobs, with a join date of only two months ago, asshat. You want to argue any further pm me. Anywho, zooloo, whats the deal? You get it working?

jarjar
I think the sooner I finish this "GTA Modding Manual" the better. It will cover all this, thank god .
92F
Ok, do you know how to add vehicles? Its exactly the same as that, but you dont have to add carcol lines or handling lines etc. If you dont, you'll need an img tool foundhere. Once you have that you need to open up the gta.img archive and look for the appropriate .dff and .txd of the weapon that your replacing. i.e. colt45.dff and colt45.txd etc. Look at this tutorial for a more indepth explanation. Follow it up to the "Now, browse to your San Andreas\data folder" line as it does'nt apply to weapon mods.

92F
Ok, that problem is because of a "read only" attribute. What you need to do is: Go to start>my computer>C:>program files>rockstar games>GTA Vice City. When you have this folder infront of you, right click on it and select properties. Then at the bottom of the properties box, there will be two attributes functions: read only and hidden. Click on the read only attribute and the tick should disappear in the box. Then click apply and ok. Now try replacing the .dff and .txd again. Edited December 19, 2006 by 92F
zooloo75
but then it says if i want to apply it to this folder or all subfolders what do i click??
92F
Click yes. this will disable the read only attribute to all folders/files in the gta.img making them moddable.
Silberio
it says the file is too big because its a bug on the img tool, u have to delete the file u want to replace, e.g: if u wanna replace the Tec-9 whit a AK-47, delete or rename the Tec-9 in gta3.img, and add the new file, and 1 thing the insulter have right, is that u must un-select the read only, then u can erplace it and u, 92F, i did never insult u, or the other dude, but u insulted me, and noob is nothing compared to what u said to me, and u can critice, or critic, or whatever the word is some1 that dont talk good some lenguage, im from chile, so i cant talk it realy good, so thats it
