Pick the option at the bottom of this screen Step 4. Press Left and Right until you find the English Option Thats as best as I can explain it. Sorry if you don't understand. Deuce Deuce Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 I recently bought a russian copy of San Andreas off eBay but it was only the installation menu that I had to figure out. I managed to find the 'install' button, and once I did, it prompted me to select a language in which I wanted San Andreas to be installed in. Are you sure you didn't accidentally skip past that bit while installing and not change the language to 'English' or something? Check the ReadMe (that is if it's English ). Lioshenka Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 what is so scary about playing with your options? i can speak russian but i set once (and think everyone has once a life) a spanish and it was "no problemo" to figure out where is the language option just try all of them. But if it is russian/polish/chezc copy IT IS NOT LEGAL i mean it is pirate and they dont have english kanguage in it. ask someone to e-mail you the original english text file and just replace it in your gta folder, then just start the game it will be in english. or you can write here what it says on the screen and i can translate it to you. it should say something like that in RUSSIAN version (not polish/ukrainian/bulgarian) select *HACTPOUKU then select *R3bIK then select the language and by the way i suppose you have got all the radio cut out. tel us when you success in launching the game Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You're digging yourself a deeper hole, buddy. First, your copy of San Andreas is in Russian. Secondly, there's no sound in the cutscenes. Did you perhaps, by any chance, download this copy of San Andreas? Or buy/order/get given/whatever an illegal copy of the game? Be honest, now. Though, I should warn you. If you did manage to get hold of the game illegally, I wouldn't advise you to say further on the subject as you could find yourself getting warned or possible banned (warez is against the rules). Unless you honestly do have a legit copy of the game, try and download a patch (not sure which one it is, but I think I may have heard of this problem elsewhere before). Lioshenka Posted December 16, 2006 Share Posted December 16, 2006 i told you, there will be no radio in the game easterneuropean and ex-Soviet versions of GTA dont have any sound in (because there is 97 % of pirate disks in the market) and probably if you will manage to play it without sonds, it will crash on number of mission i often heard about it in russian forums you should have bought proper version. but damn it! 5 dollars is such a good deal for a game..
