willum
I managed to do 100% completion, but I was too lazy to get back to my mansion and save, so I did it at Cherry Poppers...guess what happened. I had about 2 seconds of enjoying 100% (I just finished the vigilance with the tank). I started again...god I'm so p*ssed off....
Canoxa
Serves you right for not dragging your ass down here and friendly discuss with us the various aspects of the game! Well, good luck. Pass the Vigilante missions with the Hunter this time.
willum
I might go on Liberty city Stories more...I love the mafia, and The Godfather and that sort of mafia style.
Spuds725
Great game.... (LCS).. This should be a lesson to you to alternate your most recent GTA saves among 3 slots... I reserve the first 3 slots in my games for this.... I've never lost one but I'm prepared if I do... I edited your thread title a bit (to make it a little more descriptive as to what is in the thread).... The Cherry Popper save glitch has been known for some time, and I'm pretty sure it's documented in a topic around here somewhere. Not that that helps you, but at least you'll know in future to avoid saving there .
Justin
What platform (PS2, PC, XBox) are you on? I'm curious as to which platforms this glitch actually exits on... As far as I'm currently aware, it's only the early PS2 versions of the game. It always sucks to lose a save, but once you feel happy enough to start playing the game from the beginning again, it's actually quite enjoyable. Could even be a blessing in disguise. Ben
I assume you're asking willum as you know I play on PC . I've never had it happen to me, but then again, as I've heard of the glitch, I've never tempted fate and saved at the Cherry Popper factory. I think the best solution for everyone, regardless of what platform you're on, would be to avoid saving there - Vercetti Estate or Sunshine Autos are about 30 secs away . Tommy Dickfingers
Ahh....that could also answer the question why my save games are disappearing too. My two most recent attempts at Vice City have resulted in my save games in slot 1 disappearing. Very odd, so i use the last save slot now (PS2). I have now started San Andreas again, and have created a "template" save file in the last slot with 100 tags completed, so I don't have to keep doing them each time I start a new game
willum
It's weird.... I saved there millions of times before....and I've got the second version (with the Colt .123 instead of Python etc.) Very annoying. I'm getting San Andreas for Christmas for a little present for myself (I'm never really got enough time to buy it).
