Virtual Pancake Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Does anyone know why San Andreas crashes after installing any mod with SAMI v1.1? The game load bar goes up half way and crashes and I cant minimize it, forcing me to restart my computer. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pat Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 1. Go to "My Computor". Click "Local Disc (C disc)". Look for a folder called "Program Files". Click that, and scroll down untill you see "Rockstar Games". Click it, and right click your San Andreas file. Scroll down untill you see "Properties", and click it. Make sure read-only is unchecked. If it's checked, any mod you install will crash. 2. Look at your case it came in and make sure it doesn't say "Second Edition". If it says second edition, you have version 2, which is unmoddable thanks to Hot Coffee. You can find a downgrader for it somewhere, though. Oh, and this should be in editting discusion. If it's checked, any mod you install will crash. Err...no. Thats only for when tools are trying to read the files, no when your adding mods. The mods will still work, the tool just won't be able to edit the files required. Also, requesting move to Modding Troubleshooting, please keep your seat beats on and hold on tight . I don't know any GTA player(The TRUE GTA Players)that doesn't have a modded copy of the game. Let's face the reality. Some GTA cars sucks, everybody knows it, and then someone do a better car. What you do? Replace that car, simply! And if you wanted to sell cars at your Chop Shop or play a Super Hero or play as Tommy Vercetti? Now tell me if you don't like to mod your game.
