DexX
none of the current txd programs can do this. The only way to convert an image, is by hand with a hex editor.

jarjar
A tool would be a good idea, I'd have a go at it, but I wouldn't know where to start. DexX knows a lot about it, I'm sure if he game me some information, and a kick start I could code something .
GamerSuper
whom can i ask to make a tool? can steve-m make it? i really want to make mods on the PS2 version. Edited December 15, 2006 by GamerSuper
DexX
as i recall, a few years ago, the then-current tool makers simply decided not to support the ps2 txd's, you would have to ask them why. it seemed like an odd decision, considering steve had already released the ps2 txd viewer, and the format was known. He is also the person you would want to talk to about the ps2 txd image format. The overall txd structure is exactly the same from platform to platform, just each image is optimized for a specific platform. if ill give you an texture can you convert it? no, i'm busy enough. plus i have no way to test if it works or not. GamerSuper
ok i'll talk with Steve-M. he makes really good tools. I really wanna to transfer Russian version of SA (russian texts and textures) into PS2-version. and we make a great mod with new city and missions and we want to transfer it to ps2 too. i think tool with saving into ps2 txd featuree is most needed nowadays

DexX
don't triple post. you could pm (personal message) him, or send him an email. the little buttons below each person's signature are ways to contact that person; the blue envelope is a PM.
