ryanbradburry
I tried to install GTA SA on my computer but alas, halfway through it crashes. So I try to install again but it says that there is not enough space on the disk to install, which is not the case. Anybody have any ideas? jarjar
Clean the disk, and really well too. Lots of installation errors are caused by small scratches.
ryanbradburry
How does cleaning it help though? Is it that the files can be accessed properly only if the disk is in good condition or what?
jarjar
It helps, believe me . I had a similar problem. Cleaning the disk really well, fixed the problem.
ryanbradburry
How well is REALLY well? And any suggestions for cleaning tips?
jarjar
A machine is a good idea, if you don't own one most video renting stores have them. Usually a dollar or two and they will clean it up. First check you have any scratched, you don't wanna waste your money if there are none.
ryanbradburry
I've looked at it under sunlight and a black light and there are heaps and heaps of tiny scratches, only one kinda big one but it is on the outer rim. My GTA 3 disk was worse then this and worked fine everytime, could it be something else and not the disk?
jarjar
The GTA San Andreas disc has different protection to the GTA3 one, protection that has both good and bad sides, this is a bad side. If it has them many scratches, it's definitely the problem. I had one small one on the outside of mine, in the last few millimeters, and it caused all the problem.
