Brutuz
According to Windows Vista, My CPU (Athlon XP 2600+) and RAM (1Gb Of some unknown brand) are they only thing stopping my system getting a 5+ rating on their thing (Everything else is 5.2-5.7, while the CPU and RAM are 3.3-3.6) anyways I want to overclock my CPU, I can overclock it a little with Clockgen and get it from 1.9Ghz to 2.0Ghz without crashing, anyways I want to get like 2.3 - 2.8Ghz, but can't because of the Voltage which is currently set at 1.6w, My PSU is 400w btw. Thanks in Advance, Brutuz.
matthew1g
Usually I do my overclocking Via the BIOS listed under cpu frequency, From there you can increase the voltages , multiplier etc etc. Make sure you have proper cooling first. also since we're on the topic about clockgen, can anybody tell me how to set it up for an ASRock P4V88+ socket 478 mobo? I don't know what PLL to use and it is not mentioned in the list either
Brutuz
This should be the Official Overclocking Discussion and Questions or something, anyway odes ASrock have forums? you could ask there, thats what I did at the ASUS forums (ASUS A7S8X-MX is my Mobo) but I didn't get many answers
matthew1g
I haven't really checked because half their site is either in broken english or japanese .. I think the only supported mobos are the ones in that list from the clock gen page. I still say you should overclock from your bios
